anyone have any ideas how the breakers are able to put together 2 cold weather matches before 3/19? (and the revs not?). anyone familiar with facilities in new haven? any guesses where 2 boston specific teams might lock up for a 3/19 match? vegas? tuscon? houston?

MARCH 15 Boston vs. New York (in New Haven, Conn.)
MARCH 19 Boston vs. Boston College (at site TBD)

there are some other wusa preseason games in "relative" cold weather areas. i didn't list them b/c i just don't know enough about the march climates for philly, st. john's, jamaica ny, and oakland n.j,

    *Sigh*

I guess this means the Breakers are now officially tougher than the Revs are.

btw...here's the official breakers press release on their preseason

Breakers Kick Off 2003 Season on Monday

    notes:
they "hope" to be out practicing on nickerson field on march 10th.

they'll be playing outdoors for the march 15 matchup v. new york.

and...the revs couldn't possibly have used nickerson (even if fifa/concacaf compliant) on march 26, b/c the breakers have practice scheduled there that day upon returning from a las vegas excursion.

maybe gus should ask them about the different approaches to "weather" the revs have v the breakers next time he talks to them on the issue.

    just fyi,

that jess dow field in new haven is an "astroplay" surface and has a track around it. however, it is a lighted field and can seat 6,000.
