The first goal looked like a deflection off the wall on a free kick according to the announcers.
The next two were off shots allowed by Mitts, she got toasted on both.
I didn't see the 4th goal, I was watching the Revs on real TV get humiliated by then.

The Breakers got beat down harder than a Republican campaigning in Vermont.

Chicago beat them in every single 1v.1 battle and simply humilated the entire team one player at a time. Chicago's offense flowed at will, the score easily could have been 6-0 or worse. The defense with Jonsson and Osteberg's leadership shut down everything the Breaker's tried to do.

The Breaker's offense in a word-sucked. They got nothing going and had no organization or run of play. They turned the ball over and got beat off the ball repeatedly. Scott and LePeibet had more shots(4) from the backline than the rest of the team. And Lilly had the other 3. The defensive wingers got caught going the wrong way and Carney and Rapinoe simply outran them on the outside setting up a lot of Chicago's opportunities. Having watched last week's game Boston should have known that Chicago liked to setup their offense from the outside but they simply did not have a strategy to stop them.

Have to give full credit to Chicago they wanted it more, they played harder for it, they were well prepared and they got the win.

Just a sidenote: nobody can convince me otherwise. Caroline Jonsson is the best goalkeeper in the league if not the world.

No, leaving Smith on the bench was the only thing the Breaker's did right all night. From just about everything I read, Smith was in a real battle in that international game and could not have made a major contribution last night. I was actually disappointed that they didn't pull Scott instead of Moore, after the game was clearly in Chicago's hands.

Well even in their last few wins, most of the breakers players have admitted their opponents played better. 4-0 is a freaking roasting. Clearly they need to address issues about being so dependant on smith.

As for A-rod, her play has been horrible. I never thought she had a great touch, but she had speed and at the time we needed that on the national team. I can tell you right now though that rapinoe has a solid starting spot on the national team. Mitts may also be in trouble. She has not been playing well. I would place falk, dalmey, cox, sauerbrunn above her in terms of performance so far.

And LePeilbet. She is in the pool but hasn't been called in in a while. I think Boston has the same problem right now that LA has: You can't be a one woman team.

If these two teams don't figure out ways to get the job done relying on players besides Marta and Kelly, they are in for a long season. I wonder if there is a lack of confidence because each team is playing to their stars in practice and games.

    What do you think?

    I stand corrected.

As someone who lived in Vermont for four years for college, its very easy. The Dems can't get truly organized for a Gov. run because independents/Green/Socialists splinter their appeal. Plus Gov. Douglas has the safe haven of Northfield, VT where a strong conservative population exists.
