On May 1st Richard set out from Seattle with nothing but the things in his backpack and a Ball and was headed to Brazil in order to make it for the 2014 World cup. His goal, to dribble a soccer ball from Washington to Brazil was cut short when he was hit by a car near Lincoln city Oregon on Highway 101 this morning and died shortly there after. this was on the main brazilian prime time news tonight. Very sad. When I had heard about it I thought he was in Brazil when he was run over (since there are so many car accidents here). so sad he did not even left the US on his long journey.
