Although the full transfer window is closed, there is an exception allowing for business with clubs and players in Estaduais. Flamengo has signed Carlinhos, of Nova Iguaçu. A bit surprising this was done now and not after the final. He is in second place behind Pedro for artilheiro of the Carioca and of course will be in the final vs. Flamengo. With Gabigol's suspension, this means Calrinhos is the second-choice center-forward on the roster. Yesterday Rômulo of Novorizontino, played against Palmeiras. After the estadual he will be moving to Palmeiras.
Out of the blue, today Palmeiras announced they picked up Felipe Anderson (currently at Lazio). His contract expires at the end of the season and rumors suggested Juventus were going to pick him up, but Palmeiras must have been working on this quietly and sealed the deal today. He'll join after the European season is over. not sure if he'll take a break first or join right away. @celito this surprised everyone but I think it's a good signing.
This is a great signing. I honestly thought he'd go to Juve. Seems to have thrived in the Italian league after a quick stint in the UK.
Anderson Barros deu chapeu na Juventus ??? Yeah this is a surprise. I read he might be returning to Brazil for family reasons. Looks like a great signing for sure. Type of player we need IMO.
Looks like Arsenal wants to offload G. Jesus. Palmeiras might try to get him on a loan but Arsenal is gonna want to sell him. I don't think we have a chance unless he really wants to come back and forces the issue with Arsenal.
Lamacchia (Crefisa) is traveling to the US to try and take over Vasco from 777 who are in some legal trouble in Belgium. Leila is obviously going with him but won't be involved (officially).
And on another note, reportedly Vasco is trying to bring in Coutinho (who is in the UAE right now if I'm not mistaken).
And after another hilarious Gabigol incident Flamemgo reportedly will not renew with the forward. He will be a free agent able to look for a new team as of July 1. His contract expires in December. He was caught wearing a Corinthians shirt at a party he hosted. Flamengo have fined him, will take the number 10 shirt away from him and will no longer try to re-sign him. I can only laugh at this kind of thing.
The Vasco / Lamacchia news may be fake. He, in vey shot words, said he had nothing to do with this Vasco thing. He is a Palmeiras conselheiro, so it definitely wouldn't sit right.
Turns out there was much more to the Abel connection to Qatar club Al-Saad. Apparently he signed a per-contact with the club to join in Jan of 2024 with a $5m penalty. All-Saad hav put in a complaint with FIFA. Coincidentally Al-Saad owes Palmeiras $10m for Geovanni who was sold to the club but got injured right away. Abel has some explaining to do. It looks like he did a 180 once we unexpectedly won the league title last year. Th pre-contract was signed in mid Nov.
Chelsea are after Estêvão. Latest offer is 55m + 10m in add-ons. I don't like him going to Chelsea. Mess of a club. Although only Madrid, City, and Arsenal aren't a mess nowadays. Too bad Barca are a mess as well. Would like to see him there. Plus they have Yamal playing in the same position.
It sucks he is going to walk away for because how much he cost, but at least he did deliver some big titles.
Palmeiras snatch up Lucas Flora, 10 year old promise from Corinthians. This kid has some serious skills ... Tiramos esse projeto de gênio do Corinthians kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkBem-vindo, Lucas Flora. pic.twitter.com/A3KGFxU9KX— Palmeiras da Depressão (@deprepalmeiras) June 5, 2024
Corinthians sponsor Vaidebet has rescinded it's contract with the club citing an anti-corruption clause. Basically they got publicity and then jumped ship at the 1st opportunity. I am not surprised at all as I predicted when the sponsorship and amount was announced. https://www.lance.com.br/corinthian...contrato-de-patrocinio-com-o-corinthians.html
And they're about to lose Carlos Miguel for only 4 million Euros as two Premier League teams are willing to pay the release clause. I understand his release clause being low, as he wasn't the backup when he renewed his contract, but for Corinthians fans it just feels like more bad news on top of everything else.
His buyout clause was 50m euros . But it got lowered on contract renewal as he feared being Cassio’s back up for a few more years .
In some explosive news, Cruzeiro has announced the signing of Dudu from Palmeiras. But nothing has been signed and there is confusion if the deal is done. This will result in a huge backlash against Abel and Leila for losing a club legend. Something doesn't smell right.
This became a bizarre saga in such a short time. Including, apparently, an intervention by friends! Apparently he's not leaving now?
It's all very bizarre. There is info that Dudu has been ready to play for 2-3 weeks now but for some reason has been held back. Apparently it's a known secret in the club that he doesn't like Abel much. Then Mattos said that Dudu contacted him asking for a transfer 15-20 days ago (not sure I believe this). Mattos went on Itatiaia to say both clubs have agreed on terms and Dudu is the only one that can make a U turn. Basically putting the hot potato on Dudu's lap. This tells me Dudu may have changed his mind and now wants to stay so Mattos is trying to force his hand (strange because they supposedly have a good relationship). Neither Palmeiras nor Dudu have said anything so it's clear there are things going on behind the scenes.
At the same time though, Palmeiras are bringing in another strong signing, picking up Mauricio from Internacional. I think that's a really good move from them, good backup at the offensive midfield position, with a player who was on the radar of Brazil's U23s.
