OK I'm pissed. I dont know Chelsea, couldnt even tell you their colors, but talk has it in Southern Brazil that S.C. Internacional is transfering to Chelsea their 18 year old phenom Nilmar for 7 Million Euro's. Nilmar has been a Pro for not even 1 year now and has become a starter on Inter and has been called up to the Brazilian Olympic team and now to the Under 20 team that will play the WC.

I hope this falls through as Inter is trying to build a solid team and frankly Im tired of losing our young talent to Europe...especially so soon. In the past 3 years Inter has lost Lucio to Germany, Rochemback to Barcelona among a few others.

Talk is Nilmar would first play in Moscow and then to Chelsea. Any of this talk in England?

You might want to do something about the financial health of Brazilian clubs then instead of whinging about players moving to greener pastures.

I don't see why Nilmar would want to move so soon to a team that will likely loan him out, but keeping him won't do Inter any good as long as soccer teams in Brazil remain unorganized, corrupt entities that serve only to enrich a few bastards.

On a few rare occasions a team gets a little more time with their young players - like Santos who won the Brazilian championship in Diego and Robinho's first year. But aside from such stories, don't expect players to stick with teams for very long.

Brazil's is a feeder league, and a corrupt one at that.

But seriously...... CSKA Moscow ain't a good place to acclimatize to European football, whether and culture.

By the time he sets foot on British soil, he just get loads of culture shock. Loaning him to Portugal (Benfica, Porto) is much more prudent IMHO.

As with Brazil harvesting their young talents and selling them abroad..... sigh...... blame the system but rejoice in the fact that playing abroad is what has contributed to the national team's continued success over the years.

It's a give and take situation you've got over there.

I read that someone from your club was flying to Spain to finalise a deal about the kid.

Rumour has it that if we do indeed buy him he's off to mother Russia in the spring for a loan spell.
he can't play for us anyway as he would be denied a work permit.
Strange that we would be after him in this case--does he have European ancestors?

If he's good, I'd be happy to have him. I'm not sure how useful it will be to spend some time at CSKA, but it might be decent experience. If they get into the UEFA cup, for example. Worst case, he acclimatizes himself to bad weather :)
He's just a prospect; you can never really have too many of those. So many don't pan out, after all.

P.S. For good measure, if he becomes good, he might be the least ugly Brazilian playing in Europe. :D

Kaka is a good looking gut, hes in Milan.

Im hoping Nilmar stays home, all the hype on him is based on 9 months of Pro ball and 9 Goals in the Brasileiro, far behind the league leader with 30.

Nilmar is fast and can turn on a defender really well. But he is not a guy that scores everygame and also is very thin , he needs to put on weight and muscle like Kaka did.

Inetr just keep the kid home for gods sake! Hes only 19!
