It's easy to be generous when a team isn't directly threatening you.

I know, I know. Now I have to wait a good 6 months or so for Fla to play Inter again. I wish we had another shot at beating them at Beira-Rio..:D

I see we all picked Inter to lose this Sunday against Atletico. I hope it doesn't happen but I get a feeling the 26 Game winning streak will come to an end. There is just to many distractions. The reserves will start again which isnt so bad cause the main team needs to rest for the Libertadores on Wednesday. Ther reserves still make a pretty good team...it was enough to beat Flamengo and Santa Cruz.

I'll probably take my son to see the game. He's Atleticano. I guess it'll be a good match. :)

So now only two teams from Brasil remain.

    The fixtures will be:

    Estudantes da Prata X SPFC
    Liga de Quito X Internacional

    Predictions?

    Estudantes da Prata 2 X SPFC 2
Liga de Quito 2 X Internacional 1 (The altitude, but I have no doubts about Inter's chances in Porto Alegre)

I think I may merge this with the Libertadores thread... we don't need an overload of new threads just cause we lost...

With the World Cup effectively over (yeah we have the semifinals and the title game but we're not gonna play), time to shift back to the club level.

I hope SPFC wins vs. Estudiantes.

If São Paulo plays as it normally does, fiercely and with team spirit (quite different from Brazil´s team), I think we can pass over Estudiantes, although the advantage on playing at Morumbi could be suppressed.

Don't know if you have been watching Estudiantes games before but you really need to be careful in the last 10 minutes of the match.
Appart from that, Vélez Sarfield is going to be champion this year.

São Paulo : Rogerio Ceni, Fabao, Alex and Edcarlos (replacing Andre Dias and Lugano in defense line), Souza, Mineiro, Josue, Danilo and Junior (may be Richarlyson instead), Aloysio (replacing Thiago, who Muricy Ramalho put on the team due to his taller shape to face stronger argentinian defenders) and Ricardo Oliveira

Estudiantes de La Plata : Herrera, Alvarez, Alayes, Ortiz and Angeler,
Braña, Huerta, Gelabert and Sosa, Luguercio and Calderon.

It will be a tremendously tense game !
