Palmeiras was humiliated today, 1-6 at Figueirense.

But I'm not so happy. I wouldn't be surprised if Palmeiras takes their anger out on Sao Paulo when they play the first game in the oitavas-de-final.

Don't worry about that... The probability of Palmeiras winning the game is minimum... With a team liked that, I cannot expect much happiness...

We had games potentially stolen from us by that criminal referee, so your team is not the only victim -- and we did have to win the re-played games. Likewise, if the points situation had been different, there is no way to predict how other games might have unfolded for us. The circumstances surrounding the last Brasileiro sucked, to be sure, but don't blame us for something we had nothing to do with.

I look forward to the confrontation for the same reason as you, to silence the critics and put an end once and for all to this nonsense. I won't predict results, but it should be interesting to watch should it occur... first we have River.

    Copa Libertadores 2006: oitavas-de-final

hahaha Rio Prata!

Rio Prato 3, Corinthians 1. Minutos finais do segundo tempo.

    Duas perguntas para quem assistiu:

Fim, 3 a 2, Rio Prato ganhador hoje.

    1. The goal should have stood as the ball was headed backwards by a River defender so no offside could have existed
    2. Could have gone either way on Mascherano. He was late, but not malicious.

Corinthians is a funny team. What is their padrao de jogo? They just seem to scrap their way through games, counting on their talent upfront. I really don't enjoy watching them play, but keep watching hoping they can put all that talent together into some sort of harmony.

River was the better team overall, yet with Carlitos' anulled goal and Coelho's (sp) post they could even have won it. Football...

Yes, I see. I just read in Estadao that Tevez's goal was legitimate; and the Argentine radio guy just said that the goal looked OK to him. As for Mascherano, I'll need to see the replay. But Mascherano himself was fouled harshly by a Rio Prato player; Estadao said that foul was worthy of an ejection.

Let's see now how well Internacional does in Montevideu tomorrow. I bet they'll come away with at least a draw.

With Corinthians, it always has to be like this. If it isn't won on the basis of incredible sofrimento... it's not quite the same. Once again, what a terrible ref. I think we can can win, and if we can keep them from scoring or scoring less than one goal, we'll go through on away goals. Too bad we threw away our lead.
