HUJ does this idiotic thing where he doesn't try to control a ball coming into him but tries to play off the bounce or back the defender down. He has neither the skill or awareness to do something like that.

Son is obviously having issues with his peripheral vision.

Its pointless to play the game of what if but, he was clearly not at his 100%.

    Overall, baby steps for Korea.

I'm fairly pleased with Korea's performance this World Cup. They can hold their heads high.

Also, the Brazil B team could win the World Cup. Jesus. Talk about stacked.

I'm of course sad. But, Bento did get the team through the groups. His playing style has had effects on Korean football. Attempting and being able to play out from the back at times is impressive.
But Korea have a split...situation, depending on the competition. In Asia, dominance is expected. On the World Cup, things are much harder. It's like 2 different playstyles are needed.

I can hope my homeland will avenge you guys. A Mislav Oršić missile to rip apart Allison?:D

Son wanted so much. Nothing worked really. That assist against Portugal, dont know what more he did. The bad form plus the injury is to much.

    Positives:

    1. Lee Kang In is the real deal. He certainly elevates the team.
    2. First time in my life really I've seen a Korean defense play confidently from the back.
    3. Actual tuhon. Frankly, the 2014 World Cup team was like a miscooked macaron. Trounced by Algeria and not a single ounce of fight.
    4. Japan lost.

The talent gulf is just too extreme. We're talking about the literal #1 team in the world.

At least we kept it at 4 goals (thank god for KSG) and got one back with a brilliant PSH strike. Would've been nice for Sonny to become lone WC goal scorer for Korea and he did have a great chance, but he's done enough already.

    Great tournament for us.

I'm proud of how they didn't give up and fought in the second half. I'm proud of all the heart they showed this tournament.

Maybe. But we do have a recent-ish success in parking the bus. France in the League of Nations. We also have a really good CB that can frustrate any Brazilian forward. Others will have to chip in, but...if we force extra time, Brazil will be scared. The cries of checkered zombies rising from the grave echo the stadium...and then they drag Brazil into the hole.

Fantasy? Maybe? But we surely have an advantage in extra time.

The loss was expected, the soft penalty was what really killed any hopes.

I wish Son scored that good chance he had. Team did well this world cup. We got unlucky with the R16 draw with Brazil.

Def some what if moments. The Uruguay game was it for me, if we had won that game maybe we couldve come on top of the group.

Anyways, Bento and his team weren’t bad, they’ve got a decent win record, they should maybe stick around for the Asian Cup and maybe have a change in management then.
