Lets not act like all south american teams playing in this tourney all of a sudden dont take it seriously, mexico starts winning and all of a sudden "its not serious". Complete bs, I will never beleive some posters on bigsoccer, teams compete because they want to win, not to just play to loose. That would mean south america doesent give a crap about their tourney, meaning soon they wont give a crap about all of them because a certain country starts winning them all :D. Its obvious but i wont beleive ur bs about "its not important" ya right, ill beleive that when countrys pull out or I see a coach actually say that or players. Stop the excuses it hasnt even started , get ready. :p

    No Ronaldinho at Copa America?
    Read last sentance.

"Hearts to play Barcelona at Murrayfield

Hearts are close to announcing they will take on Ronaldinho and his mates at Murrayfield Stadium on Tuesday July 24th - less than forty-eight hours after Hibs pulled out of a glamour date with the Catalan giants.

Hearts are confident they can make the numbers work by attracting a capacity crowd of 67,000 to the home of Scottish rugby.

It is understood Hearts have been in negotiations about the game for some time and were surprised to learn Hibs were also in the running as potential opponents.

Thousands of kids tickets will be made available at cut price - a condition forced upon Hearts by Barcelona's relationship with children's charity UNICEF.

By taking the game to a bigger venue, Vladimir Romanov believes the remaining full-price ticket sales plus a possible TV deal will ensure the event is a money spinner.

Barcelona have assured Hearts that Samuel Eto'd will definitely make the trip, while they are seeking permission from the Brazilian FA for Ronadinho to be excused from this summer's Copa America in Venezuela."

What can you expect from Nike FC players, no wonder brazilians seem disappointed with their team.

BTW, Valdivia is Chilean. And he WILL go to Copa America ;)

so wait let me get this straight no Kaka, no Ronaldo, no 'Dihno and possibly more stars who wont play :(

I know whatever you want to call it "B team" "Olympic team" or whatever will be quality but geez I think if teams & players keep doing this every tournament then the CA is slowly going to be irrelevant IMO
