Viewership of Brasileirao matches on both GOLTV (USA) and ESPN Deportes are both microscopic. From last weekend, the match on GOLTV drew less than 3500 Hispanic viewers when aired live and less than 7000 viewers when you add up the live and the same-day delay airings. The match on ESPN Deportes drew only 6000 Hispanic viewers. (Translation: no one would be willing to buy ads during those Brazilian matches even though those 30-second spotst are only worth around $50 each.) Hopefully, GOLTV, Inc. didn't pay too much for the rights. In my opinion, anything more than $1 plus transmission cost is too much. One would wonder exactly how much beIN SPORT LLC paid for the rights to Copa do Brasil.
It would be nice if you posted links, but I know that is too much to ask. BTW Merge? https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...bol-argentino-boca-and-river-matches.1855414/
No links available. Nielsen data is proprietary and cannot be published without permission. I got the data from an industry source. Ugly numbers for Brasileirao matches on both GOLTV (USA) and ESPN Deportes (USA) this past weekend.
