I don't follow other teams closely so I don't know what was his deal with Cruzeiro. But it looks like we are going for trying to salvage the season as opposed to starting a brand new direction. I don't even know who's available that would be good. Poach Tiago Nunes ?

Too much negativity in Brazil. That’s why the 7x1 happens. That’s why I dont like going back.

Is this Flamengo's title already???? I'm not sure Santos can muster a result against Flamengo next week. Also I'm happy CBF is throwing triple headers on saturdays.

You aren't going to catch me saying that. If they can give me consistent results for 9-10 more games, I'll be more open to say it.

Flamengo has scored scored at least 3 goals in last 6 of 7 games. The offense is clicking.

If Flu gets relegated do we get a Brasileirao next year with 48 teams, 3 stages + playoff system ?

    Flamengo should concentrate on Libertadores.

I think it is a great development that Santa Catarina clubs are failing. I have nothing against the teams and the state is beautiful but the fan support is really lacking. I remember hearing about how well "structured" clubs like Joinville and Fig were which is obviously besteira because they are almost dead. Then you look at Chape and Avai and I'm like what is the point? Especially with Avai, every time they come to the serie a it is the same thing. They are essentially a bigger version of Atletico Goianense who will at least admit they feel most comfortable in the Serie B.

I think the lg is hurt without a Recife team in the Serie A. In my perfect world there would be 2 at least. Maybe the CBF sensed this with how Nautico robbed Paysandu in the Serie C.

Question to you guys. I remember Ceara in the brasileirao a lot but did they ever draw the crowds they were drawing this year? In my perfect world Fortaleza and Ceara should both be in the Serie A too.

I am indifferent about CSA at the moment but respect the fans a lot.

SC isn't a big enough state to sustain all those clubs. In a perfect world, you'd merge most of those clubs until one. Instead, you get a flash in the pan that doesn't last very long and fizzles out.

Yeah, as much as I like to tease Sport fans about going down, I miss having them in the Serie A. I've been indifferent on Nautico. It hurt seeing Santa Cruz get bounced out of the Serie C playoffs. They mismanaged their situation when they had Grafite and could have focused on building certain things (socio programs and investing in their stadium and youth system). They still have a large fan base, but it's aging and the younger generations are picking the other Recife based teams because they haevn't seen Santa do jack. Santa's history deserves better.

Ceara was always like the smaller brother to Fortaleza in terms of attendance and history. Looks like their fans learned their lesson when they didn't support the team well enough the last time they were in Serie A.

My only real gripes were not being able to fit in Gerson and it was tough to leave Thiago Gallardo out based on him having some great games. My only real problem with globo was no Luiz Otavio. Outside of Geromel he has been the best cb. And I think anyone who doesn't have Douglas at GK is practicing a little bit of clubismo. I never rated him highly before this season but the only one close to his performances has been d alves. I would have liked to see Jordi included from CSA at least for the selection process

gabriel of botafogo also deserves a shout at cb , No Artur (Bahia) either as a choice. Michael Goias , Quintero Fortaleza, Jair of Atletico Mg would have been my first choice at primeiro volante now that I thought it over but he wasn't included too.

rb was also too close to call but I couldn't go Rafinha due to the lack of games played.

I was shocked Santa ended up getting to the Serie C playoffs. They were struggling in the beginning of the season. And you are right about the Socio programs being a big x factor. I could see Santa slacking on it. I know the Socio program for Ceara has helped them a lot and it actually seems like a great deal.
