    Re: Argentina Vs Brazil

Search this forum for info on qualifiers. The game is Wednesday, June 2 and will be on closed-circuit pay-per-view, available to restaurants only. The game will likely be 21:45 in Brazil, so 8:45pm here.

    EDIT - Here's the thread:

I am also an Argentina fan in Houston. I think that Revolucion sports bar might have the game. They have a nice set up for closed circuit games. I do not know their door fee though. Both times I went I went early to get a parking spot and good seat and arrived before they started collecting the door fee.

I know a Juan in Houston whose favorite team is Racing. His boss just got into the Nation Academy of Sciences. Is this you? If so, this is Mike.

tix prices en us dollars: mandatory reduction?

These things are great I always get a kick going to see them, even though they're very pricey. Advice to those considering going to see the QUALS in restaurants go very, very, EARLY...

So if the game is at 8:45 p.m. get there @ the latest 5:45 if you want good seats... "What three hours? Isn't that a bit of a strech?" Maybe so but don't be surpised to see a line already formed

    Re: Argentina Vs Brazil

I once went to a place that charged 10 dollar door fee to see 2 games that night. Not bad at all. I find that if I arrive about 45-1hr before kickoff, I will get a good seat. And that was for a Mexico game at a bar in Houston. I do not think that the ARG-BRA game will draw more fans in Houston. Of course here I have dozens of hispanic sports bars to chose from, so limited suppy is not driving up the price nor forcing me to arrive super early. And when arriving early there is always some other game being shown.

gaves a list of the sports bars and ph#s to call for the door prize and capacity of the place... It will be nice to locate a bar downtown, one on the north side of hwy 45 and one on the south katy or hwy 10

    thanks for the input

    fernandez..
I'm following along with Argentine websites and espn deportes and some brazilian site also.... from all sources it sounded like Argentina dominated the first half setting up various opportunities but just kept missing... 2nd half has had less opportunities..

I just remember being so distraught during the last WC because the Argentine offense set up opportunities at will against their opponents yet kept missing headers or sending shots high over the goal... and 2 bad plays did them in... I just get the feeling from following along on this one without watching that the result has been much the same...

Argentine website says 1st penalty was definitely a good call... no mention on the second call... from the tone of what I'm reading there really is no complaint from the Argentine side about the 2 penalty kicks...

3 penalty kicks in 1 game?? WTF?!?!? this is ridiculous... Bielsa needs to get a choke hold on his players in these big games... losing 2 games in the WC off penalties and now giving up 3 in one game?!?!? this is silly...

It was all Ronaldo man, he made the defenders look silly, nevermind those who complain about him being fat. Only way they could stop him was on fouls. He also created two shots from the top of the box that went close and an amazing pass to Júlio Baptista who unfortunately one-timed it right to Caballero.

They only lost one game during the 2002 WC. They tied Sweden; Sweden's goal was off a free kick. I think the inability to finish should be more of a concern for Bielsa. They continue to struggle near the goal, much like they did in Japan (where they scored off a corner kick and a missed penalty). Bielsa must go!

I didn't see the game but from the subs Bielsa made, it seems like the man is no longer capable of putting a suitable team on the field... he seems very undecided.

    One name: Carlos Bianchi.

    Peru y tu?
