Please feel free to skip me today. I'll have to get my pick in when I can. Most likely this evening.

Good choice celito. I think that concludes central defender selections apart from my last pick (unless someone intends to play a 5 or 3 man back line).

Wow, one of the better CB's in Brasilian football history is still hanging there. If I know he'd be around till the last round of the draft I would of done things differently for sure.

Gallo; Nilton de Sordi, Oscar, Açucareiro e Júnior; Zito, César Sampaio e Dirceu Lopes; God, Toninho Guerreiro e Éder.

    Formation: 4-3-10 (probable)

    Not too shabby. =)

I figure with these players, I could actually do a 3-5-2 as well with Junior in the midfield and de Sordi, Acucareiro, and Oscar as defenders.

One thing I was really undecided about was the Sampaio pick. I thought about Djalminha or other offensive midfielders at that time. But I didn't want to leave Zito to do the whole defensive work in the midfield. So Junior can go up on the left and Dirceu Lopes would run the middle with Mr. Edson.

Nice pick, he is certainly more deserving than a player or two that was taken. There are still many old time greats that it's becoming obvious won't be selected though... I really really wish we could have subs.

Robinho was a surprise. I thought you were going to go with a more defensive minded player to complement Batista. I guess you're up for all-attacking football.

As far as Alex, that was an awesome video by Redshift. Looking at those highlights, the way he scores, you'd think he's a forward. But he's also a great creator in midfield, I remember Copa America.

Thanks ASF. I'd love to take credit, but I merely found it.

    I wrote this earlier:

    and

He's scored more since when I wrote this... just the other day he broke 250 career goals. Even these numbers do not tell the full story, because he makes everyone around him better... he organizes play. He sees things others can't. He is a guy that can run the offense of any team in the world.

I am not going to stop singing his praises... he is simply too got to be left out. I get chills thinking about what would happen if it was Ronaldo or Ronaldinho receiving Alex's through balls.

there are a lot of young players out there who are worthy of being drafted. i dont think it matters that kaka and robinho are only 24 and 23 respectively. theyve done a lot and reached a high level of success where ever they have played thus far.

Two Brasileiros, at least one Bola de Prata, a Bola de Ouro, a Confed Cup (and I believe the Copa America). Like I said, a good pick. I am not against taking current players -- particularly ones you've seen play and rate highly. I took Dida when there were several "older" and safer choices available. Why? Because I think he's better. =)

There is one notable left-midfielder that hasn't been picked yet. I'd be surprised he doesn't get picked considering his winning record in Brazil.

I think I know who you are talking about. I actually had him on my list for all-time draft. I thought he was one of the best ever left-sided midfielder in Brazil.

I was probably one of the few against doing subs. Since there seems to be so many people for it, lets re-avaliate it at the end of the draft. I may be convinced. I don't want to be a party-pooper. :)
