    Missouri vs Illinois

    11 vs 12

the annual border war between the two state schools is the highlight of the weekend... both teams are undefeated

Mizzou starts 5 Juniors, while the Illini start 3 Freshmen, a Sophomore and probable Big Ten player of the year, Brian Cook (senior)...

this should be an instant classic

    GREAT game thus far

Illini have a 7 pt lead at the half

cook is playing great... rebounding, blocking, assisting, scoring

dee has nailed some treys and i think is over 10 points

    great illini defense to boot

we probably should have pulled away a couple of times, hopefully that will happen this half

    high intensity, great action

    missouri never had a chance

completely taken out of their element by incredible defending

    brown and cook are unstoppable

cook still hasn't scored under 17 points this season... 1 rebound from a double double and 10 for 10 from the line

watch out big ten, the illini are locked and loaded

I hate Illinois, but had to root for them today just for the simple fact that they were playing Mizzou.

Especially in this years Big 10. But it seems to me that this season the usual suspects aren't there. Duke might be #1, but they have that on name. A bad UCLA team gave them a struggle and the only other team they beat was Ohio St. They'll get a #1 seed because they should run through a watered-down ACC, but if you shut down the perimeter they are screwed. They better watch out for GTown in the New Year. Pitt and UConn would beat this team by 25 on a good night. They probably match up better with Zona and the Ducks though, who would rather run then play defense. Anybody looking for a Dark Horse Final 4 should look to upstate New York. Syracuse has socrers, rebounders, defenders in the middle, and pure athletecism. and once they get Billy Edelin back, a penetrating guard. I mean they are VERY young (once BE gets back, they might start 3 froshs and 2 sophs) but they are probably the most talented team in the Big East.
