A little blurb in the Globe mentioned that a press conference was called to announce that the USNT job is Bradley's.

Saw this happening. He's done admirably with the few friendlies in the US against teams who weren't too happy their FA's scheduled them to be here.

Can't say I'm oozing with confidence knowing Alexi Lalas once fired him. The only thing that would give me less confidence is if Alexi Lalas once hired him.

I, for one, am very excited! More friendlies against 3rd rate competition!!! Sure and glad I didn't go to Carey for Morroco, cause I think we'll see them again in the near future! :D

I saw that and I hope it's crap. Worst possible thing that could happen for the US and a death sentence for Taylor and Parkhurst. I have to think that there was nobody else available.

Does anyone think Bradley's a step up from Arena? Arena's already done better at Red Bull then Bradley ever did.

Whoa, back that train up now.

Bradley has made it clear he likes Twellman a lot and wants to play him.

Maybe we should give the guy a chance to show his stuff with the Gold Cup and Copa before we splatter his name and picture with donkey-poo.

nope he was a crappy coach in mls. he has the pedigree of donkey poo.

I want an outsider, or an insider with foreign international experience.

I would never be happy with him even if he was a good mls coach.

    so, i'm biased.

    plus he's an ass.

I was disapointed when Bradley got the job, I had my hopes set on someone people outside of the MLS world had heard of, but once he was hired, I felt should be hired period, and this is long over due. The interim thing was a joke and in fact detrimental to US Soccer. Now, Bradley can just concentrate on what his job is and not whether he'll be hired or not. This is a big summer for the US, winning the Gold Cup is pretty much a must in my eyes, and theres a slight chance that we could do well in Copa America too, it's starting to look like we're not going to be the only team sending a B team(or the equivelant.)

Bradley's a decent coach, not really an improvement, but what gets me is that we were promised a world class coach and Sunil didn't deliver.

I'll give BB a lot of credit for acting like a true professional while under the "interim" tag, as his boss was clearly more interested in greener pastures.

Wait wait, with this saga now over for the present time, does this mean that Sunil will be able to focus some attention on Mr. Joseph and the rest of the underpaid Revs?
I wish I weren't able to answer my own question :(

Sunil has had his chance and his name should be well and thoroughly splattered with donkey-poo. I've never been able to figure out what the ELM did for the Revolution and now I'm equally confused with the national team.

But of course you weren't referring to the ELM even though you should have been. I'm okay with Bob Bradley and willing to give him time. But the ELM took way too long to get to this point. BB could have been developing talent since last October or November. And I'm pretty sure BB better never lose more than two in a row or we will see him yanked. His boss didn't want him and only hired him when EVERY OTHER (FOREIGN) COACH HE COURTED opted for other pastures.

How BB is supposed to develop young talent with the ELM looking over his shoulder is beyond me. A madman is at the helm of US Soccer.

What this means is that the USMNT won't be stealing Stevie Nicol from us. That's good.

Ya know, Steve Nicol is slowly building enough of a reputation as a coach that with his International playing experience and knowledge of European football he may well be a top condidate for the USMNT job if Bradley tanks.

Although I have my problems with SN, I agree with you comment. And, I suspect we also risk losing him to other leagues.
