For some reason I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach, that Bruce is going to hire Bradley as the coach....

Didn't you know? The LA Galaxy are collecting every MLS ex-head coach as an assistant?

That's been in the script for some time now. Next, they'll give M. Bradley the money Buddle deserved. :(

Is Bruce planning to move to the front office? I never thought that.

Bradley won't come to the Galaxy. Chicago or Montreal.

What? Why would you have a feeling of that at all? Bruce is doing a fine job here so why would he hire Bradley?

You don't hire a new coach when you're in first place and haven't lost a match in 13 games.

The pit in your stomach is probably just gas.

Based on what? Only way he comes to MLS is if he can't get a decent gig in Europe.

You must be talking about Mike b/c I think it will be a while before an American coaches at a decent gig in Europe.

Bruce has always been coach/General Manager ever since he was hired. He's always had the power to put someoneelse as the coach.

Bradley will resurface as Chicago's coach in the near future.

For better or worse, Bruce is as much a control freak as Klinsi. The likelihood of him ceding the coaching position to someone else, absent health concerns, is pretty small. And there is no indication that ownership is at all unhappy with his performance. He has been the good soldier through the whole Beckham saga and has produced upper echelon teams. So I can't see the FO releasing him in total.

Remember, Sigi was not the GM. He didn't fire himself. His situation was not at all comperable to Bruce's.

On an unrelated side note, what do you think the odds are that Klinsi wants Sigi as one of his assistants at USMNT?

The odds are great that Klinsmann wants Sigi as an assistant. The odds are poor that Sigi would give up the Seattle job for an assistant position at this point though. Most likely he will simply consult him frequently for his assessment of national team pool players in MLS.

Did Gulati also fire Jesse Marsch?

or is Jesse still waiting for the phone call?

Maybe. But if Sigi has aspirations to be USMNT coach some day, this would be the way to go. I know his Seattle job is sweet right now, but teams/fans can be fickle and Sigi may not get another chance to coach at the Nats level if he were to turn Klinsi down. (Of course this all assumes Klinsi does in fact want Sigi on board as an assistant.)

This is interesting. Kreis may fit the same bill. But I don't see either taking the job.

And there is no way Bob will come back and play 2nd fiddle to Bruce. He wants a head coaching job or nothing.

Lord Voldemort can go to the Chicago Fire for all I care. But if Chivas nabs him, that'll play into our cards, too.

The pit in his stomach is big enough to hold all the assistant coaches in MLS.
