11 spots, two for the Metros. Why do I have a feeling that if his brother was still in Chicago the Fire would have gotten two spots???

Decent previews, but still slanted towards family affairs IMO.

Or, maybe it's because the Metros have made the most drastic changes.

You have got to be kidding me. One of the most pathetic posts I have ever read on these boards and that in and of itself is pretty momentous.

Do you think that Roberts is a last minute replacement for Grimandi? I find it hard to believe that Roberts is even listed in this 11 let alone at #2.

In the past, I have felt that Jeff Bradley showed a modest amount of extra interest in the Fire.

Which manifested itself via a bit more attention paid to Fire-related items, and a slight preference for the Fire when it came to playoff/season predictions.

Which is natural. Jeff knew the Fire better than any other team because his brother was coach. The better you know a team, the more likely it is to pop to mind when it comes to story ideas, and the more comfort you have when picking that team to be victorious.

I would expect to see this same slight preference for Metro-related items going forward.

So no, I don't find Ben's post "pathetic." Overstated, yes. Pathetic, no.

    Lordy.

Maybe KC should get some more interesting players on its roster.

And don't forget to wear your aluminium cap when you sleep.

there's only 10 teams! somebody had to have 2 and (as previously stated) Metro had a lot of turnover.

Jeses, talk about over reaction. Can't I simply state that I think a writer whose brother is a coach in the league tends to write about his bro's team more than others? Don't see how one slight observation about a preview article can be deemed by anyone as the "most pathetic post ever". Didn't think I'd get that kind of reaction out of so many.

No, he's been in the pipeline long before Gilles changed his mind. And if his ability in CM '01-'02 is any indication, he should definitely be in the top 11. :)
