Kicker has Bradley as a starter. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/spieltag/spielpaarungsvorschau/object/863651 Kickoff at 15:30 local time (9:30 AM EST).
Here is simulcast. Best I can do. BMG never has streams anymore. http://www.justin.tv/teledude/popout
Looks like BMG has had some good chances, mostly through MAtmour on the right. BMG is definitely pressing, and has some good possession.
Here is the matchtracker from Kicker: http://www.kicker.de/news/live-news/livescores/livematch/object/863651/saison/2008-09/naviindex/1
Scheise, 1-0 to Wolfsburg. Dzeko (?) scores a headed goal off a free kick by Misimovic. Bad marking by Stalteri or whoever was supposed to be on him.
In the Bradley thread on the YA forum a German poster said he's been the best playmaker in the Bundesliga this season.
Bradley misses a 75% sitter, hits it right at the goalkeeper. A great run through, 1v1 with a lot of the goal, but he's got to get more on that shot to create at least a rebound. His teammate was right there for follow0up, but since the goalie was able to easily smotther, there was no followup possibility.
in the last 3 weeks, they've lost at home against relegation candidate Bochum, goalless draw against Karlsruhe, and now down at home to Wolfburg. Not too long ago, they beat up Hamburg handily- who were at the top of the table.
the game against ksc was without friend and marin on the road however, a draw isnt a bad result from there
I can't blame Bradley for not passing to his teammate, since the guy was originally offsides and in that sequence, Bradley did not have time to look up and see how to weight the pass (was another defender closing on his teammate?). However I do blame Bradley for not hitting the shot a little harder, which likely would have led to a deflection , and maybe that deflection would have popped to his open teammate or back to Bradley. These are the little things that American players always seem to fall short on, and they have consequences. Bradley could have played a no look pass to his teammate, which probably would have meant a goal- but I can't criticize Bradley for not doing so. Had he messed that up, we would all be yelling at him for not shooting- which was the right thing to do. Just not hard enough.
Yeah, he really had a good chance there if he just put more on it. It shows his goalscoring inexperience, despite the 19 goal season at Heerenveen.
He had time to hit it with his instep, which would have generated more power, or he could have sidefooted it harder. In Holland, he scored a lot of those dribbling shot type goals, in which he didn't strike the ball totally clean. Its that extra little bit of thinking/touch of class/whathaveyou that our players need to focus a bit more on. Bradley's young and can still improve on this- but the European young stars seem more fundamentally sound often times in these issues. Its so important, because who knows if BM gets another chance that good the rest of the game. I hope so. To his credit, it was a great diagonal run- and Bradley does these as well or better than any American player, including Donavon.
I don't know if you can generalize that from Bradley, since he was probably brought up to play defensive midfield in his youth, and he probably didn't do too many 1 v 1 shooting drills.
