If it's any consolation, Jeff, you're not any worse than the rest of us in making predictions. I recommend checking out the gambling sites before you make your own predictions. Those guys are tough to beat.

Didn't Jeff Zaun pitch for the Twins at one time? Lefty, 20 game winner.

Please, Jeff: I beg of thee. Please continue to pick against the Quakes!

    Thanks.

Well done mea culpa by Jeff. With all the bad facts and ill predictions, this was what was needed to regain some credibility...

    ...I say with only 1/2 seriousness. :)

I see he picked the home teams to go 3-0-1 this weekend. Didn't he learn from last weekend?

I think this is BS. I know its not a violation of the rule, technically, but the rule is poorly written.

If you take a chance like Gansler did, you suck it up. You play with 10 men, like men do. Goalie for goalie sub swap only. Do they have to submit a player lineup with positions before a game like baseball?

Either make the rule say 3 subs or 4 subs - but don't say 3 players plus a keeper.

I like Dallas myself, but right now we are sucking wind. 2 home games, 1 point and 2 goals. We should be at position 9 or 10.

I like it. (Now where's my plug!)

And what the hell is up with the Royals?

It's been done a few times. While I have qualms about it being done this way, there was one team (damn memory) who sent in a field player as the the keeper replacement, then - during a stoppage - had the field/GK swap jerseys with the starting keeper who was running the field. Now that kind of nonsense is something I have a problem with. It's only happened once that I can recall.

That said, I think that the rule should be 3 subs or 4 subs. Pick one. Or only a GK for a starting GK (since Bo technically replaced Josh Wolff who theortetically was in goal at the time).

New England did it at KC in 2001.

"New England had made all three of its substitutions before striker Wolde Harris fell injured. Rookie Nick Downing entered the match for Harris, while Causey played as a field player. The pair switched back after Downing made one play as a 'keeper."

He'll want to take that back too. Revs and Chicago tied 1-1.
