crazy al pointed out the presence of a "Bradford," presumably from UCLA, at Alta IF, Jay Needham's Norwegian team.

I assume this is Brad Rusin. Here's a snip from the club site:

Nå går vi inn i en spennende periode, der den kanskje viktigste jobben vi gjør er å finne de rette spillerne som skal inn å forsterke vårt lag. Vi har allerede fått Raiko fra Bosnia på besøk, og i kveld kommer en mann med det velklingende navnet Bradford.

Also, I learned a new word in Norwegian today: Grizzlybjørn.

Geography major with a career objective in engineering management or architecture/construction management

Looks like he is putting that on the back burner.

Rusin was at Start & a couple of other clubs in Norway last summer but didn't catch on. Alta is so far north it's unlike many other places, beautiful country. Good luck to Brad & Jay in lifting the club up.

Yes. it was Rusin. I couldn't remember his surname. Thanks.

He played in Alta's most recent pre-season match against Bodo Glimt. Bodo didn't bring all of their starters. But put a respectible squad on the field. Alta won 3-2. Needham had the game winner.

From the Altaposten article, it looks like Alta got a good look at Rusin. I assume they will decide this week whether he is worth paying the price for a foreign player.
