http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=254259&cc=5901 Finally got rid of that ************. Any idea how much we got for him?
The answer is not a lot - he's out of contract after the season. Doesn't matter - the key is that his loafing butt is gone. I cannot express my disappointment in Bow enough. He was the heart and soul of the side that advanced to the CL semifinals and played with such passion in that season and at the beginning of 2001-2002 (he may have been red-carded in the Arsenal match, but we never would have won it without him). Yet, after the trial, despite the fact that LUFC fronted him the money for his legal bills, he acted as though the club owed _him_ something - and he played like it too. Good riddance.
Re: Re: Bowyer to West Ham I agree, when he is interested he is brilliant. England quality. Most of the time he is just a worthless cunt. And according to Splargy, he is an idiot of epic proportions. It's really too bad that the 9mil move to Liverpool didn't go through. Hopefully we at least got our money back from Charlton though (2.7mil). Also, are you sure we paid for the legal bills? That's a extra million quid wasted right there.
Re: Re: Re: Bowyer to West Ham We'd be lucky if we got 1mil for him.... We prob got around 500K US for him... Hell he only has a couple of months on his contract left, we were lucky to get anything... Remeber the date Feb. 8.... West Ham comes calling at Elland Road... Can't wait to see the reaction Bowyer gets...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Bowyer to West Ham You are probably right about the transfer fee. (I'm going on my experience playing Championship Manager.) Yeah, I think that Bowyer will get a much worse reception than Rio did and frankly he deserves it. Sure, Rio is red filth but at least he gave his all for Leeds which can't be said for Bowyer.
It'll be interesting to see though. Rio is more scum in my mind than bow. Rio signed a 5 year deal and was made captain. He didn't even stay 1/3 of that 5 years and he went to scum. Bowyer has been at Leeds since May 1996 and has played over 200 matches. Bow's didn't break his contract, he just didn't sign a new one. He's also going to Wham for fek's sake. At least Bowyer played the amount of time he was contracted for unlike our tapped up judas friend Rio.
How true. He might have been the best player in the Premiership two seasons ago. Forget a fall - in this case, it's "how the mighty have ruined themselves"
100k O'Leary calls it the bargain of a lifetime. (Which really isn't fair since he would have gone for nothing at the end of the season.)
