what a game plan last night. he figured out how to stop the kansas fast break while shutting down their outside shooting with the 2-3. everyone used to question how he could lose with the talent he had on previous teams. people are still questioning him, but now the question is, how did he win with freshman?!
Not many people thought Boeheim could do it. Five of ESPN’s six "experts" picked Kansas. Only Fran Fraschilla took the Orange. Boeheim's taken a lot of abuse over the years, some deserved but much of it not. He's a much better coach than he used to be and his team's victory is very well deserved. And how about that great free-throw line defense he designed! This didn't start yesterday either, it's worked well since the Regional: KU 12 -30 TX 20 - 32 OK 6 - 11 OK ST 9 - 19 Total 47-92 51%
Attendance at the Big 12 Foul Shooting Clinic might be off this year.... Look for the incoming recruiting class to make a huge impact again,particularly if 'Melo leaves. He's a great recruiter,but his insistence on only going 8 deep in conference play leads to a lot of transfers.You'll see more next year.
