Not much has been heard from David Wagner since he was fired by German
    Bundesliga
    side
    FC Schalke 04
last year. Well, now it's been reported he is among the candidates for the managerial role at
    AFC Bournemouth
He faces some competition with Patrick Viera and Thierry Henry also being among the names on the shortlist. Do the Cherries go for experience or do they hire a big name as they look to go back up to the
    Premier League
    from the
    EFL
    Championship?

Funny but the Cherries had a great manager, IHMO, with Eddie Howe.

I don't feel like their downturn was his fault. Ya gotta have money to play with the big boys. That he got them in the PL and kept them there, relatively competitively too, for so long was nothing short of a miracle.

I'd like to see him at least be considered at Wednesday.
