The success we've had means a lot of folks are going to try to pick the flesh from us. Must say, if Arsenal offers, he's got to be gone. You can't pass up this job, kind of like if ManU offered coppell the manager's job.
Director of football at Arsenal, replacing David Dein? FFS.

That would really suck, but you are right, if Arsenal offer him that position he would be crazy to not take it. Just having that position on his resume would guarentee him work for the rest of his life.

And not sure how it worked, so someone explain, but didn't Dien (dein) walk away as a very rich man. Or did he arrive as one?

Well he is certainly rich now, but he must of had some money to begin with. A little internet research showed that he bought 1,161 shares of Arsenal back in the 80's for about £250/share. The last price I could find was £6,200/share or almost 25 times his original purchase price. I couldn't find the exact number but he now ownes about 13% of the club. He rolls with the big moeny too. One of his son's is married to the daughter of a former board member at Tottenham and his other son is dating Bernie Ecclestone's daughter. For those of you who don't leave the footballing world, Bernie Ecclestone is the President and CEO of Formula One.
