Bouna has manufactured and is selling Senegal - style Bouna Time jerseys for charity http://www.coloradorapids.com/News/NewsDetails.aspx?NID=cnp8uR3IjGc=
Very cool. Way to go Bouna! Does anyone have It's Business Time going through their heads but with Bouna Time in place of Business Time?
Depending on cost I might need one of the locals to do me a favor and snag one for me... Edit: My wife just pointed out that this is a pretty good indication that he's the next one on the trading block
How do i get one!? Yeah, I've been singing "It's Bouna, it's Bouna Time!" when they introduce him... gets some strange looks from the soccer moms in my section, but it's so worth it!
"Jerseys will be available for fans to purchase for the price of $75 per jersey, and the purchase includes a special treat: following the game, Bouna will personally meet the fans who purchased a jersey that night in a special meet-and-greet session, and sign their jerseys and take photos!"
I may have to run it by the wife, but I am otherwise in on this. Our charismatic, talented goalie wants to help needy kids back in Senegal? I can't think of a better way to spend $75. I haven't bought a new Rapids jersey yet so this one can be my purchase for the season. If the meet and greet is not too late, I'll even get my picture with the man.
Did anyone else pick up the jersey last night at the game? I got the dark one and got is signed by the man himself at the special tent the team set up for it. It was worth every penny and the signing was awsome. Buona is a wonderful guy and seemed to do anything for the kid fans. He signed all kinds of things, posed for pictures, spoke to them with interest and kindness... it was just very nice. While I got the jersey signed, he signed my son's jacket and my son was thrilled. I hope people really support this buy buying a jersey. Buona is a class guy and I give the team high marks for helping out with this.
