1713: GOAL Senegal 0-1 South Africa Teko Modise crosses from the left and Elrio van Heerden, of Club Brugge in Belgium, meets it on there volley. Where is the marking???
1726: South Africa's Sibusiso Zuma goes close with a near post shot that is well saved after a run from the halfway line. More Bouna Time goodness....
Henri Camara controls a long ball on the edge of the box... Excellent tackle by Modise! He plays it forwarsd and Zuma SHOOTS FROM THE EDGE OF THE BOX... Coundoul saves! It was a solid shot headed for the near bottom corner! Great passage of play by South Africa.
We have the game live in the office and will be giving you updates. Halftime 1-1. Replay on the South Africa goal shows marking that is terrible with Bouna left handcuffed.
MAJOR BOUNA TIME in the 62nd.... Defender misplays the clearance Bafana Bafana with a chance 6 yards out and Bouna with the reflex stretching full body right hand save robs South Africa of a 2-1 lead. Still 1-1 in the 67th.
South Africa have the ball on the right wing. The cross comes in and ZUMA... GREAT REACTION SAVE BY COUNDOUL!! The shot was a nice height but it was at close range. How important could that save prove to be?
Modise drives at goal and SHOOTS... Saved by Coundoul. Modise wanted to atone for his error just moments ago, but the keeper was equal to it.
call me a convert-- you guys have one great keeper! i've been able to watch most of the game and bouna's been unbelievable 2nd half. 3 wonderful saves-- the most recent one (78th min or so) was stunning (announcers are calling it the save of the tournament). not even sure how he got to that one. if they win this game, it's 100% bc of his masterful work back there.
1825: Sibusiso Zuma has a great chance to give South Africa the lead when a defensive mistake leads to a clear shot in the area but Senegal's Bouna Coundoul pulls off a remarkable save.
Ohh yeah, he's all that and a bag of chips. His athleticism is amazing. Trouble is, this kind of performance on the world stage will have him out of here in no time. I suspect 2008 will be his last year in CO.
