Lol so much for capping these kids ay @Zvornik

Nemanja Jovic (Partizan) young talented forward picked to go play for Serbia. He was previously capped by us. Nas Zvornicanin making us proud lol This is why BiH shouldn’t even try with these kids

Not surprising at all, it goes back to what I was saying a few pages back ^^ We should still try, just maybe for once we should not be naive about it as I explained previously.

Ma its the typical thing where people just use us to further their career. Shame because they take up spots for kids who would die to put on our shirt. Just normal in Bosnia at this point, nothing new

They don't really take up spots for others, it's not like we are an attractic choice anymore.

Situations like these are also why you need a zero-tolerance policy and some kind of clause/code of conduct within the national team that every new player should sign.

They are taking up spots for kids who actually want to play for us

The reality is that many of those kids end up being totally overrated as players once they are given a chance. It's not even to want to play for BIH, you have to be good enough to begin with.

Rather have them play than people who just use us

There is no such thing as being good enough to play for BiH. Its all about $$$ and footballing agencies that push players. Our Savez is one of the most corrupt in the world.

But there is such a thing as being worthy of featuring in a national team's roster. Footballing agencies that push players is still a thing but much less than 10 or 15 years ago.

I do too, which is why I don't care anymore when a kid switches nationalities. Hearts not in it, good riddance.

The problem isn't kids switching national teams (it's a failure and a disappointment for sure) as much as them opting to play for Bosnia and later going full retard by publicly voicing their support for ethnic nationalism and separatism. Ideally, we should want neither weak players that are simply there to fill a spot nor players who use us. Unfortunately, we've had both in the past and not just once or twice.

Jovic was forgotten about by the BiH federation for nearly 2 years, uncapped since 29th March 2019:

Yet more world-class selection incompetence. How can you let someone in the Partizan youth system slip through your fingers?

If these guys cannot use a spreadsheet or a database, talented players with multiple nationalities are going to be lost. It's as simple as that.

Talented, yes and no, let's see where Nemanja Jovic is at in a few years.

When you play in Partizan's youth system or in any Serbian club's youth system, you will inevitably be pressured to play for Serbia, directly or indirectly whether you were born and grew up in Serbia, in BIH or even abroad. That's simply a fact, it's the same thing in Croatia with their clubs and youth systems. For all this talk about the FA being incompetent (which is definitely true) where is the proof that Nemanja Jovic specifically picked Serbia because he was ignored by Bosnia for so long? When you blame the FA for everything and never consider things like kucni odgoj, intelligence, the culture and the environment you grow up in and evolve in as a person and as a footballer, you fail to see the bigger picture.

And as I predicted around this time last year, a Vranjes 2.0 could potentially happen. Vladan Danilovic was spotted in Lisbon attending the Portugal-Serbia game, proudly posting clips about it on social media and bragging about it. It's not yet clear if he will eventually share posts of war criminals on social media as well, because that's how (too) many "proud" Bosnian Serbs express their support for "their" country today.
