As ive stated earlier, i used to live in Monchengladbach for 3 years. I was just wondering
how they were percieved in Germany. Are they looked on as a big club?, are they ridiculed by other clubs ?

Can remember as a kid playing for a team called Tus Wickrath and scoring against the gladbach youth team! Happy Days!

Gladbach is not a big club anymore but the club still has a great reputation and respect among other clubs in the league and among football-supporters all over Germany due its glorious past. Gladbach has lots of supporters in the whole country, if they play in Hamburg, the stadium is almost always nearly sold old because Gladbach brings in a lot of fans ( many more than clubs which are seemingly bigger like Leverkusen or Bremen for instance...).

    Leverkusen bigger than Gladbach?

    You are kidding.
If Leverkusen would face relegation today they were forgotten as soon as the next season starts.

But Gladbach has real fans. There stadium is great although very old and the atmosphere at home is frightning.

Gladbach will always be a good part in german football.
