They looked really good today. Boksic and Maccarone deserved at least a goal a piece.

Maccarone looks to be the buy of the season early on. McClaren has the Riversiders headed in the right direction.

I think that the key signing for Boro this year has been Geremi. However well Macarone has done, the problem they had last year was linking from defence to attack, and with Geremi they seem to have the perfect player for that, and the likes of Boksic seem to have benefited from not being so isolated. They are playing some of the best football in the country, and when you think they still have a World Cup winner to come into the side then the future certainly looks good for them.

I can't say that I'm surprised, I was telling people before the season that Boro was money and that they were going to make it to Europe.

Usually I'm no good at making predictions... but when you look at this team, they've got experience in the defense, a great keeper, a speedy and skillful midfield and a damn good strike force, not to mention perhaps the best young manager in England.

I'd be surprised if they finish below seventh place.

Boro are not doing too badly. It was fun watching them pick up the pace last season and now they’re looking good.
What was almost as much fun, was listening to the sportscasters from FSW trying to say Middlesbrough.

McClaren is a good manager and took the good and discarded the bad from his mentor. I predicted Boro as the 6th place finisher and I'll stick to it.
