Why not make is own taco restaurant there, will it be great? Giving the fans tacos and goals, oh and dont forget the coronas !!!
The fifa site is confirming: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/050714/1/44ql.html Bold added by me... Borgetti will be awesome for no other reason than he is a great player so it doesn't matter where he plays. That melon of his will do a lot of damage in English football. My espanol blows, but I heard him interviewed on spanish language TV last night and they were talking about Bolton and they asked him how much English he knew and his response I think was, "un poco" or something better get the English classes in ASAP Jared - and start searching the internet for good Mexican food in England, or get used to fish and chips. Or he can pull a Fernando Valenzuela and just act like he can't speak English so the friggin reporters leave him alone. That might be his best bet.
Congrats to Borgetti! Whoever thinks the EPL won't be good for Jared is wrong, he's the perfect target striker for the EPL and I'm sure he'll score his share of goals. He'll have some very skilled teammates in Diouf and Jay Jay Okacha, much better players than any he's had in the Mexican league. His main competition for playing time will be Kevin Davies, who is a good little scorer but somewhat of an "overachiever".
Here is legendary English goalscorer Gary Lineker giving an interview on the Borgetti to Bolton deal. Pretty good stuff... http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/story?id=345560 Lineker profile: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/hi/tv_radio_coverage/newsid_1906000/1906931.stm http://www.planetworldcup.com/LEGENDS/lineker.html Let's see English goalscoring legend and commentator/writer for the BBC, sounds like a good guy to have in your corner. Good Luck Jared!
For you boludos... http://www.goal.com/NewsDetail.aspx?idNews=73836&progr=19 Congrats. I think he'll do fine over there. Question is, will he be first choice?
Bolton is a very good side. Their manager is one of the best in Europe. Yes they are not Chelsea or Liverpool but Bolton are regarded as one of the better sides in the Premiership and qualified for the UEFA Cup by finishing 6th..they were even in the running for the Champions League up until the last couple weeks of the season. This is a big move for him and also a big move for asspiring mexican players playing abroad. Has a Mexican national player ever gone to England before?
Bolton is a modest Premiership team. They do have good players but I wouldn't necessarily say they are far more better than the players Borgetti has played with in the Mexican League. Case in point: Pony Ruiz.
Actually I saw yesterday in Televisa Deportes that 2 other mexicans played i England before, the first was a mexican player with English parents and the second was a few years ago, a defender, his name was Carlos Sanchez, He talked bour Borgetti's chances in the EPL int he same reportage. Question; Is it mandatory to post always in English? thnx
But most importantly is that he's going to be facing better competition than he would in the Mexican league.
Good post butters, thats how you should have answered the first time. You deserve Rep points.. second nip beyotch..
that weirdo in the "Republica Deportiva" said it was official, Borgetti signed with Bolton for 2 million, good for him !
But not better than Okocha. Okocha is in my Top Ten Fav. players to watch. Hes just brilliant with the ball eventhough he has an attitude problem his futbol skills make up for it.
