Borgetti is going no where but Europe.

    Mexican star reveals offers
    Monday July 11 2005

Mexico international Jared Borghetti claims he has received offers from two clubs - Eintracht Frankfurt and an unnamed club believed to be Bolton.

The central striker is looking to seal a move to Europe, but warns potential suitors that they would have to be prepared to meet his club's valuation.

After expressing interest earlier in the summer, Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin have abandoned their chase for the Pachuca striker.

However, a move to Europe could still materialise for the Mexican star, with Bolton boss Sam Allardyce reportedly keen on the striker, who is currently captaining his country at The Gold Cup Tournament in the United States.

Borghetti is quoted as saying:"Hertha has said that they don't want me, but I have an offer from Eintracht Frankfurt and another team that told me not to say their name.

"The officials of these teams have already started negotiations with Pachuca so I expect to have some news during the week.

"I have said to the officials of Pachuca to negotiate my transfer with the team that pays what is deserves.

"I think that it's the moment that European teams accept to pay what Mexican players are worth.

"If they don't offer a contract similar or better than the one I have at Pachuca I will stay in Mexico.

"I still have a lot to do in football and I would like to have the chance of playing in Europe. I have been waiting for this chance since many years ago."

    From the UK!

Desmienten salida de Borgetti a equipo árabe

    12 de julio de 2005

MEXICO, D.F.

i really hope he moves to germany or england... but somehow i doubt a midtable team would pay the same wages he earns at Pachuca (which i'm guessing is large)

 i wish that the damn press would make up its mind...first he's going...then he's not going...your worst than a woman...

I hope he goes to a small euro team so that his presence stands out. This might not happen with a large team with an abundance of stars.

Rasta's arguement wasn't necessarily correct but he had a certain point. Like I said earlier, Borgetti would not survive in Spain. He is better suited for the EPL or the Bundesliga, hell even Serie A. He wouldn't be able to adapt to La Liga due to the fact that he doesn't run much and isn't necessarily used to it. He has been improving recently but it's still not enough for La Liga.

    SAM DOWN MEXICO WAY
    By Alan Nixon
MEXICAN skipper Jared Borgetti wants to go to Bolton - and has told his club Pachuca to sell him to Sam Allardyce's side.

Bolton have bid £900,000 - less than German clubs Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt have offered. But striker Borgetti, 31, top scorer for his country, is keen to come to England on a two-year deal and fulfil a dream. And he has such stature in his homeland he can sway Pachuca to do business.
