Según la página oficial de la Liga de Campeones de Arabia, Mansour Al-Balwi dio a conocer en conferencia de prensa que el artillero mexicano es su nueva contratación, además del brasileño Claudio, del Oporto de Portugal.

Why? I dont get it. Could someone come here and justify this decision.........

Apparently someone made that up. It's not true, Jared is not interested (I mean, it'd be stupid to play there...).

    What a waste.

Probably because he was offered a ton of money, they tend to do that in those leagues.

But damn, that's just a huge disappointment. He's way better off just staying here.

EDIT: Ah. Well I really hope someone made it up. I'd hate it if it was true.

I heard it on 'Los Protagonistas' some minutes ago, they talked to the people of Pachuca and Jared's agent, they had no idea of what they were talking about, then someone told them that a 'promotor' made the whole thing up.. what for? I don't know.

so this whole thing is just one big rumor? cuz mediotiempo.com and espndeportes.com have articles on this. so i thought they were true. it would be a major waste if Borgetti goes there. i haven't seen Borgetti play this good since the World Cup.

Yes, but it isn't the right time for Jared to move there.

Because the World Cup is coming and he needs constant activity, I think it would take him a while to get used to Arabia and his new team, besides even though I don't know much of that league, I think it's not what Jared needs, at least not now.

My guess he thinks he's more likely to get playing time at Ittihad than at Bolton or Hertha.
Anyway, he looks like the kind of player we need. We need a good finisher, as we're having trouble converting chances lately.

Jared is 32 yrs. old, let's face it, he is too old and expensive to go to any other foreign team. If he goes to Saudi Arabia he might as well forget about the world cup., but than again one of the motivations for most players to play the World Cup is to get exposure to
get hired by European teams (or other countries), and like I said, he is too old for that anyway, so he should go to Saudi Arabia and make a ton of money so he can retire in a couple of years, since realistically that all he has left as a professional soccer player.

The Ittihadi team is filled with stars, and they will be playing some tough games including a 4 week campaign in Italy and will play against AC Milan and 3 other Italian clubs, and will be playing in the ACL and might have a chance to participate in the WC for clubs, and the Saudi League is pretty good, so he will benefit from this experience.

I really hope he doesn't go. The fact is that the Saudi league is an inferior league to the MFL. And if Mexicans complain of failing to adapt to europe, imagine adapting to Saudi Arabia. It would be a failure in every way.
