The infamously controversial CL 2nd leg tie between Chelsea and Barca in 2009, with Drogba completely losing it at the final whistle...
Another hard fought game vs Blackburn. They're a team I actually miss in the Prem. Never were a real threat in the table (except for that short window in the early 90s) but they usually managed to give United a game.
Fantastic interview with Gasperini: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/20/atalanta-gian-piero-gasperini-serie-a One of my favorite managers that continues to go under the radar. Love what he has done at Atalanta and always enjoyed watching his Genoa team's during each of his spells with the club.
Another memorable match vs Blackburn (where Tevez saved our bacon with a late, late goal) and provided a huge (and well deserved tbh) point in our pursuit of the title that season.
I know we've all watch it a hundred times by now but anyways.... 21 years ago today: https://www.tokyvideo.com/video/man...munich-full-match-1999-champions-league-final Also, possibly the best non-Manchester United win ever, 30 years ago today: Steve McMahon going around at 89:45 shouting at his teammates "One Minute"... it's up there with the Stevie-Me slip...
Vs Arsenal at Old Trafford: miss that rivalry so much. Those were the games, more than any other, I used to look really forward to each season.
FA Cup 2005. Easily top 3 most frustrating games for me. we peppered them only to endure the lottery of pks. should have had 2 in a row. it's on 30 mins from now
For those interested in the US, Euro Championships final doubleheader on ESPN2 (2016, followed by 2012) on now, 7pm EST.
I enjoyed watching some of the items posted. I had not seen many of them. They helped get me through the dark, uncertain times; but, I gotta say, they don't hold a candle to live football. It's the anticipation - and not knowing the result, and the emotional reaction to the result, and the rehashing, and so much more that makes football, and sports in general, so much fun.
