Following yet another White House briefing in which the elite media utilizes its crass commericalism to inflict its liberal bias into what it calls news, perhaps it is time to ban certain members of the media from the briefing room; I refer here to this big time scumbag: Terry Moran, ABC's Chief White House correspondent, who is described succinctly:

"Moran's candor on the subject of hatred for Bush among a few "big fish" White House correspondents," himself included.

"Moran at least gave honest voice to the elite media's view of itself: above every citizen, above every elected official, above, well, everything."

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/626zchps.asp

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan should exercise his right to ask such reporters as Terry Moran, whose biased liberal views are well known, to leave, and barring his refusal, should revoke his White House Press credentials. It is one thing to be interested in a story, as all media justifiably are, and quite another to abandon reporting and turn to vindictive behavior, as Moran exhibited yesterday. Moran's credentials should be yanked post haste... such behavior as exemplified bythis piece of ABC filth has no place in the White House briefing office!

I finally figured it out - ITN is Jeff Gannon.

So how's the man-whore biz going?

If he were kicked out that would mean there would be an open chair. Anyone know who might be able to fill that chair? Maybe there is someone out there who fits with the White House's idea of a "good reporter," who has two names, runs a homosexual website contrary to the explicit beliefs of the White House, and is "8 inches uncut." Naw, no way someone like that would be let into the White House press corp.

What does the part I put in bold have to with White House press conferences? Were reporters pressuring Scott McClellan by threatening to yank ad time if he didn't buy a hybrid car?

At least he doesn't lie about being Catholic.

Back to the topic, so what you're saying ItN is that you believe in censorship? You don't want anyone questioning the actions of the Supreme Leader? Why do you hate America?

Thou shalt not post pictures of farting. If it ain't the 11th Commandment... it should be!

    However, this:
Is a perfectly legitimate statement. It's not arrogance. McClellan is a mouthpiece, nothing more, and if the media can somehow manage to pry more answers out of him than they could read on the whitehouse webpage, more power to them.

When the press secretary makes it his business to cleverly avoid actually, saying anything, the game of "gotcha!" ensues. Solution: say something beyond the usual talking points--the semantics would be over and it wouldn't be a "game" anymore, it would be a dialogue. But this White house has never been interested in having a dialogue, and it's never more apparent than when they actually try to tweak the rules to make the press less investigative.

Credit the reporters, they tried to get something out of him. Credit McClellan, he gave up bubkus.

Of course ITN hates America. The real one, that is. That's why he's so fervent in defence of the one that exists only in the fetid confines of his tiny little mind, where flags are flags and gays are fags.

Dante: Dr. Wankler's illogical assessment leaves little doubt he would condemn everyone not matching his warped and liberal belief! I suspect he is neither Christian nor Catholic himself, but if it amuses you I suppose you guys can hurl rocks at sinners all day... knock yourself out!

Not at all... the responsibilities of a commerical entity, the media, in the White House Briefing Room carry with them certain rules of conduct which Moran broke...

Reporters such as Moran have no interest in news but partisan and biased commentary... as a journalistic concern, the media need to be objective and unbiased... Moran's demonstration yesterday warrant his removal.

Some minor fixes and it describes you perfectly!

Your following statement just proves that you believe in censorship. If it's not Republican partisaship you believe they should be censored.

You need to learn to read Dante and leave your beliefs at the door... Learning starts when you abandon your preconceived and wrongly held idealogy... I explained clearly and succinctly why Moran should be dismissed yet you ignored it... learn to read!

There's something deliciously ironic about a person building a case about wanton media bias on an opinion piece from a right-wing propaganda rag like the Weekly Standard ...

Anyway, without wishing to derail the righteous ire momentum of this thread, what did this Moran actually do? Or is this a general appeal for tighter censorship of the American press, based on some form of blanket dislike?

Scott McLellan would last about three seconds in front of the British tabloid press.

OMG, what's that saying about people in glass houses?

I did read and it's still clear as day that YOU want him gone because he does not fall in line with YOUR beliefs. It's the Republican way or no way, that's censorship.

He's never followed my beliefs but that's immaterial to discussion. Moran doesn't know how to behave and displayed that yesterday... some decorum of respect, some measure of behavior is demanded by all White House credentialed press... Moran breached that trust..

No... it is called Rules of Behavior.... censorship is deliberate discrimination; there are many in the Briefing Room able to behave which have vastly opposed beliefs and exhibit biased reporting---BUT THEY BEHAVE AND RESPECT THE OFFICE -- Moran does not... he needs to go... and censorship has nothing at all to do with it!

We don't even have people like that for that very reason - no one is going to stand up there once a day/week/whatever and just lay themselves open to getting chewed over by the red tops.

We have background hatchet men like Alistair Campbell instead.

What kind of behavior are we talking about here? Hosting a gay escort website and using a false name kind of behavior?
