Exploring the Inner Universe: Joy - The Mystery of Life by Archimandrite Roman Braga Fr. Braga is a Romanian monk (now living in Michigan) that went through years of torture and forced labor in Romanian prison camps for his religious beliefs. About 2/3 of the book is an extended interview with him about his life and his spiritual formation. The last third of the book is comprised of two articles written by Fr. Braga. One article about the "Burning Bush Movement," a spiritual movement in Romania that he was a part of that was the main reason for his imprisonment. The other article is called "Romanian Monasticism During the Communist Regime" and it shows how the communists tried to subltly exterminate monasticism and religion instead of doing it all at once, they tried to sow the seeds of apathy and indifference instead of of making martyrs like so many communists did.
