Impressive ball control by Bolton for the entire match, but nothing to show for it. BC Defense is amazing...5 goals allowed in 10 matches...not bad. This match had THE worst officiating I have seen in the 2 years of following football. 7 blown calls...that should have went the other way or been called. This guy should be sacked! Dunn got a totally undeserved Yellow for diving when he was clearly tripped by Campo. All in all, not a bad match for 6:30AM(Chicago time).
I feel mugged. I said at the beginning of the game that one of our players would slip at a vital moment and we'd conceed a goal. No, I'm not psychic it happens every *#*#*#*#ing time. Credit to Birmingham thought they're an extremely solid defensive unit, especially in midfield. It was a lesson in 'smash and grab'
If Brum can't secure the services of Forssell for the second half of the season they may have a problem though. He has single handedly won them many points the last few games.Villa are in for him-or at least have an interest. Hasselbaink may go in the window opening and if he does i doubt that Chels will further the loan of Forssell.
Birmingham still has one ace up their sleeves. Luciano Figueroa is finally getting on to the bench. He's been lighting up the scoreboard in the reserves. He's got potential and could become the dynamic scorer Brum needs. Dugarry can be that, but he definitely runs hot and cold. I think what's been lacking for Brum is that Dugarry, Forssell and Dunn haven't really clicked yet. They are trying to do too much on their own. Yup, that was just awful refereeing. Both sides got harsh treatment though, so I wouldn't say that it affected the outcome.
