    Fergie:

Rio may be recovered from the flu that kept him out of the FA Cup match against Villa. P Nev is fighting an ankle injury but will probably be in the squad. O'Shea may still be crocked...

Solskjaer may play a Reserves match on Jan 15.

    Huge game. Aren't they all?

I wonder if we will have a back four of:

    Fortune---Silvestre----Rio----Brown

Or will G. Neville still play at right-back?

Neville has done nothing to lose his spot, if Rio is healthy, he will play, if not it will be Brown.

    Any word on O'Shea?

Gary will always be the first choice right back... always... He will probably be captain after Keane leaves... if Giggs, and Scholes leave around the same time...

You think Giggs and Scholes will leave when Keane leaves in the next couple of seasons, or are you saying that if they retired (in 5 or 6 years) at the same time?

    thanks

Well, I've always pictured Scholes and Giggs... and Becks... all leaving at the absolute top of the game, and not going on like Figo, Luis Enrique or others who are still good but not the best... so I expect them to leave in 3 or 4 seasons, but i meant whenever Keane goes, I think G. Nev. would be the next skipper, my only other choices would have been Scholes or Giggs, but they are not as long term as he would be, being midfielders while he is a back...

I think he is very poor as a right back.

Wes... is a better CB... he is not as good as Rio (duh) and Silvestre has been as good as Rio or better in some instances so no matter how good Wes Brown plays... our defense will not be as strong when Rio can no longer play... O'Shea has been lost recently... i don't know what's wrong, but hopefully he will work it out. Good news is return of Ole Gunnar any day now, that will make the attack more potent and add some depth on offense so players can get rested, although, SAF has done a great job about keeping everyone rested this season, im impressed, now Ruud just needs to go on a scoring tear...

From rednews, the squad for the match is:
Howard, Carroll, G Neville, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Brown, O'Shea, Fortune, Forlan, Fletcher, P Neville, Butt, Keane, Kleberson, Giggs, van Nistelrooy, Bellion

No Scholes, anybody know why? I guess Bellion is on the roster while Ronaldo is gone.

    My guess is:

    ------RVN-----------
    --------Giggs---------
    Fortune-----------Kleberson
    --------Keane--Phil------
    O'Shea--Silv--Rio--Gary
    -------Timmy----

    We gotta play to win

I think we will see something like this...

    --------------Ruud

    Giggs--------Kleberson--------Fletcher

    -------Keane----------P. Neville

    Fortune--Silvestre--Rio--Gary Nev.

I would rather Bellion get the start ahead of Fletcher personally, since Fletch has done nothing to impress, however I would not be too suprised to see Phil Neville playing wide right and Butt partnering Keane in the center... Kleberson played poorly last time out when put on the flank... not a great idea to put him out there so soon... he lacks the pace for the wing and will worry too much about getting back on defence to make enough forward runs... this wont be a problem for long though... Ole is almost baaaaackkkkk!!!

I have not heard anything about an injury to Scholes so maybe he is being rewarded with a rest after his recent form...

    Nervous about the game today...

    Scholes being out doesn't help...

Is Fletch able to play today since he got a red card in the last premiership game or did he serve the suspension in the FA Cup against Villa?

Anyone have a reason why Fortune did not get the start??? I think he has performed really well while O'Shea has not been consistent...

Look, dont start with that now...

Forget about Okocha... i think the main threat will come from Davies... look for Gardner and Nolan to do well also

Fortune's on the bench. He's a more versatile sub than O'Shea would be. We have Newcastle coming up as well, there will be plenty of games for everybody.

Use the matchtracker at www.manutd.com. You have to register through the site, but the tracker service is free.
