Now that Jaime Moreno is with the Metros, can anybody please give me some background on his career with the Bolivian national team? I mean, has he done well with a national side that doesn't get a lot of international attention and who hasn't really been on the World Cup stage in some time? Does that make his stats look more impressive than they really are?

I dont really follow it, so I dont really know but according to this site http://members.lycos.co.uk/bolivianfootball/?page=cv this is the current lineup. All I know is that Moreno hasn't played in a while for their Nats. it prob started with the injury he had and the bad form he has been in. That and the fact that new up and comers have been poping up.

'Bolivian Magic'? That's a new one on me. I thought everyone called it 'Peruvian Marching Powder'.

Moreno didn't play much for the national team. I couldn't understand it. I think it was probably the result of poor coaching. The Bolivian team was worse than the US and Moreno would have been a star on the US. Istead of starting for Bolivia, he was an occastion second half substitute. Also, Bolivia would play Etcheverry as a striker once in a while. I never understood that.

Once Bolivia figured that they wouldn't be qualifying to WC '02 they decided to play younger players.

Besides, each team has it's strengths and it's weaknesses. Bolivia just happens to have many forwards who dribble a lot and occasionally score.
