We have a young team especially in defense. I'll take all the friendies we can get.

[Dreaming] Man, wouldn't it rock if they played a 1:00 pm game and then they showed the DC v NE game on the Teletron?[/Dreaming]

I'm up for it Luis. And I'm sure the rest of the Bolivians in the Barra Brava would go for it.

Hey Chico I am there. I need to support my adopted family eh?

--I suppose a 6' 4" blue eyed "Bolivian" might attract SOME attention there... But I can assure everyone my "grandpappa" fought on the correct side during the war :D

(oh and just for my $hits and giggles...)
Some little known WW2 facts: Bolivia broke diplomatic relations with Germany in 1942. They declared war on Hitler April 7, 1943. Despite some failed pro-Nazi military coups, Bolivia was a firm ally to the United States during the war and was the most important Allied producer of tin during the war. Viva Bolivia! :D

Now back to your regularly scheduled Etcheverry bashing...

Nothing up on ticketmaster about the game. Nor is there anything on the ussoccer.com schedule where they usually have a pretty good list of the scheduled international games in the US.

Calling Mr Goff, Mr Steven Goff, please pickup the white phone ....

    Everybody's gotta have a dream, Chico. :D

Would probably be better for a 1 p.m. game so everyone can go to a bar that has the Shootout and drink while watching us beat those hacking whiners.

I think you are confusing the USA with the Mexicans, but I suppose that is a topic for another thread.

I wished it was easier to bring them in. 2 Weekends ago there was a soccer tournament for all the BOlivian dance groups ( 14 groups w/ an average of 30-35 members in each). The barras for each team was extremly loud, but then again there was a prize for the loudest Barras.

Very hard to get Bolivians to attend an MLS match. Diablo has been a burn out since his injury in late 93, but still considered a hero for qualifying BOlivia for 94 WC. He's just not that good of a midfielder as he was a forward back in the day. Not fun to see your hero no longer able to play a position he once dominated, it's pretty sad actually. Moreno was never a fan favorite.

Apparently, while their are many BOlivians who like to take part in the chanting, there are others who would like to watch the game.

We need to set up 2 sections, one for behind the goal post, and the other perhapes in the Barra Brava. It wouldn't be hard at all to market just these 2 sections to the BOlivian community, if anything, we will need to expand the area.

Behind the goal post : Die hards only. No sitting.

Middle: Whoever can afford it, die hards and those who actually go there to watch the game.

Its important that we not market any other section.

It would be nice if the Profit from La Norte and Barra Brava for this game goes to some type of retirement party for Diablo, or something.

Uh, I'm old school Bolivian and I can guarantee you I don't look down on anyone. Having classified for the World Cup exactly ONCE, it's kinda hard to look down your nose at someone. Interesting that you have your fingers on the pulse of the Bolivian community around here.

As much as I like Reyes, New Jersey would have to turn into the Garden of Eden before I stand opposed to Chico during a game...

    Vamos Boliva!

This should be a very fun match, I hope it works out...

The Bolivian Football Federation(FBF) recently confirmed that the national team will play two friendlies in Washington, USA, next month; Guatemala on October the 9th and against Honduras on October the 11th. The FBF will receive 100.000 USD for playing the matches. The FBF is also looking to arrange one more friendly, possibly with Costa Rica or El Salvador.

I seriously hope it's with Costa Rica.
