This has been discussed in about 5 other threads, so I figured it was worth posting separately, once.

    From the FA's website...
    http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/SuspensionLists/Postings/2004/02/SuspensionList_25Feb.htm

    CARLOS BOCANEGRA
Suspended from ALL FOOTBALL until the Club have completed 3 FIRST TEAM MATCHES from 25/02/2004 for a Sending Off.

Looks like he'll miss two matches against ManUtd (league and cup) and one against Leeds (league). Back for the game against Chelsea.

    Surgery???

I dont see anything that says surgery at all and havent heard anything of that....where is that info from? as far as I had read into this topic it seemed as if maybe a bone bruise, contusion kinda thing....

Aint that a bitch Carlos has to miss his biggest game yet in a Fulham jersey, I still hope they bet Man United and advance though!!!

Exactly. I have never seen 'Los to be a dirty player. Moreover, after the game, he went over to the other player's dressing room to apologize.

absolutly no one has accused Carlos of being dirty in this situation. Its generally accepted that the bad tackle was the result of bad timing. Carlos isn't a dirty player. He just goes all out when he plays the game, and sometimes hsi timing is off.

I am as big a fan of Carlos as you will find, and I agree that he is not a dirty player, but there was something more to it then simply being late in the tackle.

There is no situation where a two footed tackle is acceptable or preferable to a standard slide.

I don't think it was malicious, and he certainly handled it as well as he could have in the aftermath, but hemust have momentarily snapped.

I am glad it was only three games as it could have been longer, and I hope the other player gets back soon.
