Falcioni must really be prioritizing the Copa Sudamericana, because he is changing the whole lineup, with the exception of the goalkeeper D'angelo, and Schiavi, who's suspended for the next Sudamericana match.

I'm a bit worried about bringing out a whole new team, but it should be fun. This is a very young team, but it also includes some veterans of many battles in Schiavi, Cellay and Rivero. I'm mostly interested in watching Paredes play as the enganche, and Acosta as the outside forward. I'm also looking forward to Colazo's return. I believe it's his first game since his injury. In addition, both fullbacks - Albín and Evangelista- are making their first start for Boca. (Albín played some minutes off the bench against Independiente, and Evangelista is making his first division debut.)

    Likely lineup:

Boca is up 1-0 early with a goal from Schiavi.

I'll never quite figure out JCF's approach to rotating players but as long as he can help get us results then I'll be fine. ASF, this is in fact Colazo's first appearance since his injury and he could be someone that finds form and fitness can be a huge contributor to the team. Schiavi seems to always score a goal a game after he struggles, cagey veteran that guy. Nothing like watching a match poolside in Miami awaiting a hurricane on my Viejo's 75th birthday!

Keep an eye on Paredes, he has the potential to be a great one.

Happy for the 3 points, but with the 2 men up, that was way more of a struggle than it needed to be.

True, it was a struggle to the end, but all in all the kids played pretty well. If only they could be more efficient in finishing all their scoring chances...

Not a pretty victory but to be a champion those are the matches you need to win. What I really look forward to are the posts from the supporters of Amargo Plate about how we paid off the officials........

Maybe they will say that the guy who elbowed Paredes should not have gotten a red. Whatever helps them deal with their amargura. :D

So, don't look now, but - pending the result of Estudiantes vs Colon - Boca Juniors is in first place all alone! I'm not going to kid myself, it's still early. I think Boca with Roman was the best team in Argentina and a top team in South America, but this team now I still don't know what to think.

    First place is nice though.

Well, that didn't last long. Colon won and took over first place.
