Boca travels to Mexico needing a win and some help from Barcelona in order to win the group.

Riquelme played many matches so far? He's playing at a good level? I just watched one game with Riquelme on the pitch (Nacional 0-1 Boca, Libertadores).

He missed the first couple of games and played the last three. Hardly played in the Apertura, he's concentrating on La Copa. He's not yet at his best physically but he still makes the team better. Hopefully he'll peak for the elimination rounds.

As the injuries keep piling up, Bianchi looks for ways to revamp the defense.

    Likely lineup:

    • 1 Agustín Orion
    • 29 Leandro Marín
    • 16 Lisandro Magallán
    • 15 Matías Caruzzo
    • 13 Emiliano Albín
    • 22 Pol Fernández
    • 5 Leandro Somoza
    • 11 Walter Erviti
    • 10 Juan Román Riquelme
    • 7 Juan Manuel Martínez
    • 25 Nicolás Blandi

Toluca controlling much of everything in the early going.

Damn that was poor defending, way too easy to read the play and we got caught flat footed. Starting to press a little though but vulnerable on the counter.

Looks like Sante Fe in the octavos de final. Worked out okay.

Could be Corinthians or Olimpia too.

In either case, we won't make much noise in the knockouts. This is a rebuilding season.

I know, I was just predicting based on the most likely scenario. But Libertad lost at home, so now it looks like Boca v Corinthians, with the winner playing Velez! very tough bracket.
Unless either Caracus or Huachipato can score a late goal.

Edit: And Huachipato did get a late goal. Beautiful FK. Actually that goal puts Boca into the killer bracket against Corinthians.
