It seems the 2 clubs that I will be able to follow and actually see their matches on FSW are Boca and RP. So which should I choose and why? How many titles does each club have? Also what is the history and location of each club? BTW, I would read the websites, but my Spanish isn't that good. Thanks a lot.
Well, there are 5 Argentinian teams in the Copa Libertadores that you can follow on Fox sports Espanol Well, argentinesoccer.com is an english sight. Not that good. But okay. There also http://www.afa.org.ar/ Boca is a fairly poor neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. River Plate plays in a richer of the same city. They used to be located in the same borough a long long time ago, but then River moved (I forget the reason). River has won the title 31 times and Boca 20 times. The next most is Independiente at 14.
follow both, they usually play everyone that has intentions to make the top 5... the result= good games for the fan to enjoy. tomorrow they will be (both) in FOX at nite, after copa Libertadores. see you cat!
Hora: 22.10 (televisa Fox Sports). River: Costanzo; Juan Fernández, Nasuti, Ricardo Rojas y Miranda; Gabriel Pereyra, Husain, Sambueza y Ludueña; Maxi López y Sand. DT: Leonardo Astrada. Boca: Muñoz; Jerez, Barbosa, Perea y Calvo; Villarreal, Silvestre, Caneo y Marinelli; Raúl Estévez y Cángele. DT: Carlos Bianchi.
i have fow sports en espanol. do they show the argentine games? and when the season goes under way do they show it live? (just got the channel)
Well, you have a lot more clubs to choose from then those two. You make it seem like television coverage is the deciding factor to supporting a team. I've seen you post in a lot more forums about ths sort of topic. No need to support teams from all over, you can't fake passion.
Re: Re: Boca Jrs. or River Plate...which one? I'm a history teacher, love to travel, and meet/chat with new friends. I'm also addicted to football. I find watching matches where you have a club to support in that league makes it a LOT more meaningful and FSW televises lots of leagues...SWEEEEET! As far as faking passion, I became an Arsenal supporter last year and I have never been so obsessed about a sports team in my life until then....and I'm a huge sports fan to begin with!
They show 1 Argentine league match per week. IT's usually live on Sunday afternoons. But the channel also shows pratically every Copa Libertadores match!
But carlos Bianchi will win when needed, I hope he starts that after he plays in Cali for copa. Is palermo coming or not? what do you think is the problem for losing 2 clasicos in 30 days?
when i watch the games, what players should i be watching for that have good talent? and is tevez still with boca?
all of them have good talent, in Both sides yes, carlitos tevez still with boca (last season, enjoy him in america, before the jump to Bundesliga) watch in boca for amaranto and clemente on defense, vargas and mellizo or cagnele. River has a lot of Young guns, ready to shine on copa libertadores, the gut with a tunnel 'caño' per game is going to be all over the news this yr. OJO
Boca on fse could anyone tell me why fse is showing the river game, and not the boca game which i thought they were gonna show? they show most boca games at least rite, cuz that's why i got the station.
Yes Fox Sports usually passes River Plate and Boca Juniors games most then others. As for you to choose from either one thats up to you and you shouldnt go by how many titles one has or any other feature like that, just watch the games and see what team catches your attention, both squads are playing good at the moment,Boca is doing a bit better but both sure as hell put on a show when they play and the fans add a little more to our game.Fun to watch and listen. As one said theres plenty of other teams with good squads and great history besides RIVER and boca. You can also watch Futbol de Primera which is a show that pases a resume of what happen in the Argentinean league that weekend, great show.
Boca of course. Diego is Boca. BTW when is the Super Classico against those scoundrels from River Plate?
