Oh definitely. But even so, I think Loureiro made some great and horrible signings. There's was no between.

Hopefully, with Red Bull buying 27,5% of the club, Boavista will pay all the debts and launch the team to european competitions next season (no, I don't believe they'll get it this year).

On a sidenote, Cisse is moving to Reading, a premier league club.

The one position I think Boavista is in real need to improve in is the goalie.

Has anybody any info on a young player who I believe used to play for Boavista called IGOR or IVO Da SILVA... He would of played maybe about 12-18 months ago and would have been 17-19 years of age...

    Maritimo 1 - 2 Boavista

goals by Grzelak and Linz for Boavista.
    goal by Arvid for Maritimo.

it was an ok and we deserve to win it. Sad we didn't go to the Intertoto cup...but damn, this season was really awful.

On a sidenote: watching that match is a shame for portuguese football. The quality of the stadium is a disgrace and probably has the same attendance of E. Amadora
We really need to improve the infra-structures and make plans for a bigger attendance.

Alot of players are going to leave the club.

Supposedly: Zé Manel to Braga; Kaz and Grzelak back to their polish club when there are good clubs interested in them; Linz apparently doesn't want to stay; Lucas, R. Sousa, F. Dinis, Marquinhos, Marcos Antonio and some others are off to somewhere too...

Crappy english in my last post. Yeah, apparently there are better clubs interested in Kaz for ex...not so sure about Grzelak though.

Don't ask me...I honestly don't see anything special in Cisse.

    Awsome news.

In the official site they talk about having priority in a possible transfer of Grzelak and Kazmierczak until 15th June. It is also implied further on that Boavista IS interested to negotiate.

They also mention Linz and his buyout clause (which apparently is considerably high). The player stated that he wants to stay at Boavista in a interview at A Bola newspaper. :D

It ends by saying that the rumours about Boavista being in debt with the present squad is false. However, they do with players from previous seasons and are taking care of it.

Beyond the related names, also William Andem - that it finished the career and it will be invited to exert functions in the department of professional soccer -, Khadim, Bessa, Fernando Dinis, Kaziu, Leo Tambussi and Pablo Sousa leave the club. Between the 11 elements that if keep with contract he is the Linz Austrian, who was the best marker of equips with 10 golos, while the club still will be able to exert the option right on the Polish Kazmierczak and Grzelak up to 15 of June. Peter Jehle, Ricardo Silva, Marquinho, Mário Silva, Nuno Young chicken, Essame, Release, Hugo Hunter, Fary and Marcos António are the remaining players guaranteed for the next time. Hélder Calvin, João Peter, Rui Gomes, Vitor Borges, Manuel Pinto and Hugo Blacksmith will come back to be loaned to twirl. The Boavista, that returns to the work the 3 of July, will have, thus, that to strengthen it equips it in the next days, for form to constitute one equips "that it is to the level of that the associates and all the boavisteiros ambicionam".

    Re: Boavista FC Thread [R]

Well, I was already expecting that. Zé Manel is a huge loss though.

All I want is for the polish (except Kaziu) to stay and I'll be happy.

According to the official they signed Grzelak but not Kaz. The terms of the deal set by Pogon was for we to give up Kaz in order to get Grzelak.

Honestly, Grzelak is a good player but I would rather have Kaz in the team...oh well, at least this is something.
