Could someone give me a rundown of how Rafał Grzelak plays and the position that he plays? For example his style of play, does he have good shooting skills, does he have a shot from outside the 18 yard box can he dribble or is he a good header of the ball . Is he a good free kick specialist is he a good dribbler or a good passer? Give me an analysis of his game.Focus on dribbling, passing shooting, speed and heading ability.

AVES-BOAVISTA, 1-0 . The away form is really hurting the team this season.

Intertoto cup seems to be the last hope for Boavista to get in European competition next season. The direct adversaries are U. Leiria and Maritimo , all vying to get to the sole Portuguese spot.

    Boavista 1-1 U. Leiria.

Even the Intertoto cup seems to be escaping from the team's grasp.

Boavista 2-1 FC Porto. 1-0 at the half. Ricardo Silva scored the first and José Manuel scored the second. The visitors scored one but never equalized the score. With this win, Boavista takes over the 9th place .

Kaz was wonderful btw. This guy will leave Boavista next season for sure. To a bigger club of course.

I hope that with this win Boavista will get the enough motivation to go to the Intertoto Cup. I honestly believe we have a chance.

Lately I've heard rumours of João Loureiro looking for a big potential investor out there. Apparently, there's already one he has an eye on and is american.
Some say that's one of the reasons why João Loureiro and Jaime Pacheco came into an agreement about leaving everything open to the end of the season.
If this is true, then it's wonderful news for everyone associated to Boavista. Maybe we can finnaly get out of this awful form and dream higher.

But I wouldn't be surprised if this only bs...after all João Loureiro has been quite contested lately by the fans...let's see.

Sorry for the very late reply.

Well, Grezlak is decent technically but can't retain the ball for much long. So he's good with feints but not that much when it comes to dribble.
He has a reasonable good speed.
His left foot makes wonderful long passes to the area.
His shooting is good. Since he plays as a left-midfielder I don't see him shooting from outside the 18 yards often...in fact I don't even recall a time he ever did that.
Heading ability is ok, nothing special.
He's not much of a free-kick specialist as far as I know but he takes the corner-kicks.

    Hope I helped somewhat. : )

    Re: Boavista FC Thread [R]

The quality of Boavista's squad is negative...according to my avaliation:

    VERY GOOD

    Kazmierczak - polish

    GOOD

    Grzelak - polish
    Zé Manel - portuguese
    Linz - austrian
    Ricardo Silva - portuguese

    SLIGHTLY GOOD

    Hélder Rosário - portuguese

    AVERAGE

    Lucas - portuguese
    R. Sousa - portuguese
    William - cameroon
    Cissé - french
    H. Monteiro - portuguese
    Tiago - portuguese

    SLIGHTLY BAD

    Essame - cameroon
    Paulo Sousa - portuguese
    Fary - cameroon
    Khadim - senegal
    Livramento - portuguese
    N. Pinto - portuguese
    Mário Silva - portuguese
    Bessa - portuguese
    Marquinho - brazilian

    BAD

    Zairi - morocco
    Peter Jehle - liechenstein
    Marcos António - brazilian

    UNKOWN

    Leo Tambussi - argentinian
    Kazimierczak - polish

God...if the rumours are true about this big investor, I hope we get to keep the good players and throw away the rest.

And I wish João Loureiro could explain to me how we have one of the best young formation in this country, and only one gets to the senior team every year?
Young boavista teams won 5 international tournaments in the last month...it's much better to bet on young talented players than brazilian crap...

Yeah, he was...well, after Boavista he left to Hannover and now returned dumb as a cow. Well, he's not young anymore which makes him disposable.

Btw, according to newspaper "O Crime", the big investor is RED BULL...how weird is that? Well, as long they provide the cash :D

Beira-Mar 1-0 Boavista. A loss despite playing with a man advantage since minute 15, when Beira-Mar's goalie saw the red card.

    The season it's over.

Quoting Pacheco "we lost the game due to the lack of quality". Enough said.

    Re: Boavista FC Thread [R]

Apparently, at the jokes section of A Bola they mention that the black panther will be replaced by a bull. SO...it seems that the negotiations are really happening...if it's going to benefit Boavista greatly...that's another story.

    http://jn.sapo.pt/2007/05/04/ultima/red_bull_asas_boavista.html

And it seems Red Bull is not the only one they're negotiating with...

On a sidenote, Zé Manel was called by Scolari for the game vs Belgium.

    Hello to all

Since Kazmierczak and Grzelak joined Boavista, in Poland we have a possiblity to watch a lot of games of your favourite club. In my opinion Kazmierczak is one of best players in the team. I'd like to know your opinion: does he has enough quality to play in one of Portuguese top three clubs?

    Re: Boavista FC Thread [R]

For sure. I stated inumerous times that he has a great future ahead of him. It's not his fault that the squad only has 5 players or so above average.

Even a portuguese commentator stated during a match that Kaz wouldn't stay long at the club. Meaning that even the media recognize his talent. ;)

Grzelak is another story though. He's showing to be one of the best players of Boavista and wingers of the Superliga...but due to the team's crappy performance this year i'm not so sure he's that good to play in a club with bigger dimension. Give him another year and then we'll see.

When Kazmierczak was playing for Pogon Szczecin, his goal against Legia Warszawa in 2-2 drawn game was offcially chosen The Most Beautiful Goal of Polish League in 2006. If anyone wants to see that, I found it there:

Don't you think the coach and the changing of coaches at mid season have had something to do with it ?
