but they have a great sportspage and it's only 25 cents.

Just check out some of Scott Ostler's and Ray Ratto's columns and tell me it ain't worth a quarter.

It's a great place to live, limousine liberals and all. No humidity nor any snow or ice.

What was this guy thinking, trying to remind us that war involves killing and destruction? What a pinko!

Don't worry. Nobody takes Bay Area whackos seriously. I sure didn't when I lived out there.....

Wow, really? Even the LA Times is up to 50 cents.

SF is a good sports page town, except for their blindness towards the Quakes. I think Ray Ratto is the only one who even mentions soccer in passing.

The Chronicle had better coverage of the Quakes than San Jose's paper did this year.

As my friend's dad once so eloquently put it, "The Yoo-Nited States is like an Ice Cream sundae tipped on its side, and all the fruits and all the nuts went down to California."

Horrible. I think he averaged just over 1 sentence per paragraph.

What a poorly-written load of tripe.

ok, who's next with a joke about SF tight ends and wide receivers?

Noah's right, the Chron's coverage of soccer has gotten more diligent in the last year. Still, it is not too different from other cities, very insufficient for a soccer fan.

They have a guy who was in the Nixon administration, Dwight Chapin, who writes a column on soccer. I think he covers collectible baseball cards, too.
