Pro-NYPD and Black Lives Matter protesters clash in Brooklyn "Pro-NYPD and Black Lives Matter protesters clashed in Brooklyn. BLM protesters chanted “Black Lives Matter!” while those in the pro-cop group screamed, “Go suck a big black d---!” That just about sums up the whole debate.
They’re trolls.....nobody is born blue And they defend this...they’re trash #BREAKING: A Baltimore Police Sergeant assigned to the homicide unit was arrested in Baltimore County for extortion and kidnapping, according to Baltimore County Police. https://t.co/vQSscdkZWe— WJZ | CBS Baltimore (@wjz) July 10, 2020 Breaking update: The four homicide Baltimore detectives involved in extortion, kidnapping case involving sergeant's home contractor were ON-DUTY at the time, department confirms https://t.co/uDVakfhWQG— Justin Fenton (@justin_fenton) July 10, 2020
It turns out, to little surprise, St. Louis couple that pointed their guns at BLM protesters are complete jerks. They have sued multiple neighbors for alleged infractions (not discussions, but lawsuits), threatened neighbors who step on their property, and smashed the beehives that a local synagogue had put up for the benefit of the synagogue's children. Nice touch that last bit. They also, although this was longer in the past, were notorious for their homophobia, which led the wife to be thrown out of her position on the homeowners' board. 100% Trumpsters, in other words. As a neighbor said, "They have always been part of the problem, not of the solution." https://www.yahoo.com/news/st-louis-couple-threatened-black-171108171.html

Probably true. There has always been a big market for stories about bad behavior. Five years ago it was female teachers sleeping with their students. Today it's white people calling the police on POCs. Five years from now? You got me.
Brooklyn again Police beat-up and tasered this BLM protester in Bay Ridge Brooklyn today...pic.twitter.com/Yude9SRdRK— Rex Chapman🏇🏼 (@RexChapman) July 13, 2020
What was really telling to me came a few years ago. One of my former high school classmates is not a police officer somewhere in CA (likely metro LA). I posted an article with an incendiary headline and included a video of a couple of Detroit police officers harassing a Black guy coming out of a convenience store on FaceBook. One apparently had history with the Black guy, but the Black guy's friend decided to record the entire event. The partner went after the friend threatening to arrest him for recording the video. The LEO classmate said something along the lines of me wanting police to be killed (despite my posting that I did not agree with the headline). I said I did not, we got into a convo, and one of the things I said was that I would not have an issue for increased funding to the police to better train for handing of non-police work, like dealing with the homeless, or dealing with special needs people, etc. He said it was not needed and his training was fine. To me, he had no interest in becoming a better police officer. That told me a lot about the mentality.
The answer for most authoritarians for dealing with non criminal activity which disrupts public order is institutionalization. When 2A types refer to MH reform they are not discussing increased community resources.
This is how they retaliate for one of their own getting manhandled.....they’re supposed to be better than this....
I was thinking that Bay Ridge was where Tony Manero was supposed to be from, checked, and yep. I have nothing positive to say right now.
I haven't lived in Norman for 12 years - having been born there and lived there for 38 years. Norman police - while always being police started really going down hill about 15 years ago with the retirement of the generation of cops & police leadership who were in their late 50's to early 60's at the time, and the influx of cops who were long serving (5+ tours) Iraq / Afghanistan vets or in that age group - none of whom seemed to have the MP background - but lots of PTSD & DV. OSBI / OHP busted a steroids smuggling ring that brought down 4-5 officers that were supplying themselves and other LEO's in Oklahoma with "supplements" that these clowns use to bulk up and play the Special Forces Operator look. It was probably 3-4 years before I moved that I was sitting in a Bible Study Group where a cop admitted to plotting to kill his wife and the guy she had an affair with. This, six months after he made her get an abortion because he felt that if he had to contribute to more child care / raising, he wouldn't be able to work all the OT he felt he needed to get promoted It is not - Tribal Police (w/o a cross deputization agreement) wouldn't get involved unless the victim was Native or the assailants were suspected / confirmed to be Native
I lived in and around this area of Brooklyn for several years, its one few neighborhoods in all of NYC that isn't politically homogeneous (2016 was something like 62% Clinton, 33% Trump, 5% Other) and geographically is sort of a wedged in between uniformly Democrat and Republican neighborhoods so while normally a quiet area it is also a very predictable place for protests/counter protests to turn confrontational.
And just to be a dick, while the Eastern Half of the State is still technically undiminished Reservation, the whole goddamned continent is Indian
This reminds me of my incident with a local morning shock jock, turned local conservative afternoon drive time DJ, who died from cancer about a decade ago - RIP to his cancer. Anyway Mark Shannon got ran out the OKC radio market for making jokes about Christopher Reeve getting paralyzed, also including calling up his home and asking to talk to him and asking if he could "run to the phone" and shit like that. Went off to Nashville, rebooted as a pre-Glenn Beck type and resurfaced here when Obama was elected. Late in the first BO term, he came down with some aggressive cancer and he bitched about having to go on Obamacare to pay for his treatments that were like $900/Week (note, they would have been 10 times that w/o the ACA, but whatever) and he became even more acidic and virulent towards "libruls & Demoncrats" (mispelling intentional). One day, he's on a remote and I'm on the road and he starts in with the anti-Native shit because the Chickasaw's had just bought the naming rights to the downtown OKC Ballpark for the struggling AAA team and popped off "Oklahoma was so much better before the Injuns got here, everyone knew their place"... Aside from nearly driving off the road because of his historical inaccuracy, one of the voice is my head said "Mike, you can't let that stand" and I responded, "you're right, Other Mike - let's go pay him a visit down at the Yamaha dealer, it's only a few miles ahead". So me, Other Mike and the other voices pull off the road, roll down the access road to the Yamaha dealer in Shawnee and walk in, during commercials, his cancer sick ass was shaking hands and signing head shots and I walked up and said: Me: Hey, I just want you to know I'm praying for your cancer... Him: Thanks for praying for my recovery - I'm gonna beat it Me: No man, I'm praying for your cancer to fucking kill you... It was then I was escorted out of the dealership and asked not to return... Later that year, he died. Tee Hee Motherfucker Yes, I know I am going to Hell, but the recruiter said they had a nice position for me designing the dorms needed for when all the Trump folks show up and they'll need to start work on the 11th Circle - 10th one is filling up fast One Court Case at a time / One Nickel at a time
I get something between a chuckle and a guffaw anytime one of their kind kicks the bucket. I started to type "I admit that..." in front, but then I realized it isn't an admission. Nothing for me to be ashamed of. There's no reason for people like that to be taking oxygen from decent people. My fear of damnation disappeared the day I realized being kind to that demographic is among the things required to avoid it.
Based on some of my stunts, I've probably earned a lot more ass kickings than I've actually received - oh well, someone has to take me up on it. See, I read that scripture as the opposite - Someone that's on my team is held to a far higher standard of behavior than someone that would be a non-believer - that's why I am so hard on them.
