That's a bit excessive to blame the conduct of fans on a player is wrong!

I think Mexican football needs to be very carefull in general for a while. They are developing a very poor reputation, whether deserved or not. Problem is that some of their actions have been very high profile. Blanco's of course, and the teams reaction to losing to the US in 2002. Marquez's actions in particular. Mexico not having the ability to shake hands after any lose to the US is also something that has been noticed by quite a few abroad. Not good. These games are watched globally and this type of action sends the wrong message. It builds very poor stereotypes, even if they are not fully deserved because of their high profile. Every team fouls, has bad games, plays physical, etc. It just seems that when Mexico goes behind, or is losing, they lash out in a way that makes them look like very poor sports, on big stages. Watching Mexico brutalize Peru at Giants Stadium after going down 3-0 was one of the most horrible scences I have ever witnessed. No one wants to lose. No one wants to lose on big stages, but the old saying is - "you learn more about a person's character when they are losing, everyone can be gracious when they are winning."
Arsene Wenger is a perfect example of this. Very gracious and suave when things are going well. Complaints, accusations, denials, etc. when things are going poorly. I think Mexico needs to do something for their own sake. This can only hurt the team in the long run.

I'm sure it's time we ante up and make strong declarations. This is most likely an attempt to thwart Mexico's strength at Copa America. Why not? They change fixture dates for our teams in Libertadores all the time. I wouldn't be surprised.
