Interesting point in that Level 3 football post about having collectively done much less running this season leading to faster recovery from injuries.

City’s season has supposedly been ruined by injuries.

Liverpool have had just as many injuries, and have come out the other side looking stronger than ever.

The injury to Fabinho, meant that Henderson had move back into his position. Henderson is now playing the best football of his life and his confidence is at an all time high. He can play multiple roles in our midfield at an elite level. It also meant that Naby Keita started to be picked regularly and had his best spell as a Liverpool player. Unfortunately he picked up and injury, but when he comes back in he can hit the ground running again.

We also had an injury “crisis” at centerback. Injuries to Matip and Lovren meant that the struggling Joe Gomez was forced back in the team. What followed is that Joe Gomez rediscovered his form from before his injury. His partnership with Van Dijk is unbelievable at the moment and Liverpool’s defense has never looked better.

Injuries to squad players like Shaqiri and Oxlade-Chamberlain meant that Klopp had very little to pick from for the FA Cup match with Everton. This led to the youngsters getting their first chance in a big game for Liverpool. Now players like Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot, and Neco Williams look like legitimate squad options for the rest of the season.

In the meantime, Liverpool has not dropped a single point in the league, they have progressed in the Champions League, they have progressed in the FA Cup, and they have become champions of the world! Now that we are starting to get some of these injured players back, this Liverpool squad looks unbelievable. We have even added a new singing into the mix.

I think Klopp said it was a hammy after the game yesterday but, as usual, said we would have to wait and see the extent. The silence is deafening.

Saw something which said his recovery was weeks not months. Which is still longer than I’d want, if true.

ETA: talkSport has it that he’s going to miss the next 3 games which I think includes Shrewsbury. And that it’s not hugely serious.

Apparently Keïta injured again and unavailable today . He's been injured so often, frustrating . This is beginning to be a real problem. As good as he might be if Keita can't stay fit long enough to contribute the playing ability means little.

    This kinda fits here.

Moves afoot to play PL games behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus. If so, I’m sure the CL will follow. Assuming this happens, I wonder how it would affect the team with the power of Anfield and so forth?

My guess is that this definitely happens as soon as the first PL player becomes infected.

For Man City no change in their atmosphere but for Liverpool an empty Anfield would not be good.

Would have thought so, why give up TV revenue?

I would imagine that the broadcasters have that angle sewn up. If the game is played, it’s shown, fans or no.

    From Klopp on Alisson:
“I would say after the international break 100%. Whatever we can get before that we will see.”
