Blackpool vs Fulham, Premier League Saturday 28th August 2010, kick-off 3:00pm Finally! At long last our first home game in the Premier League!!! Capacity for the game is due to be 16,220, with very few tickets left for home fans. More news to follow.
Does anybody have TV info on this one for the USA? I love watching all EPL teams with USMNT players, so this is a match I really want to see for multiple reasons.
Looks like it will be on FSC on Sunday morning 8AM CT (9 AM for you.) I'm not seeing a live broadcast in the states. We'll probably have to find an online feed.
Indeed ugh. Ollie is supposedly close to three signings. Two of them are supposedly stikers, just hope we see DJ in tangerine on Saturday, although I won't be expecting to see him! The official for the game is the youngest ever PL referee Mike Oliver who is 25 years old. He officiated the Birmingham City vs Blackburn Rovers game last weekend, and in doing so replaced Stuart Atwell in the record books.
Apparently, the game is being shown here http://www.beta.foxsoccer.tv/page/Home/0,,13138,00.html guessing that this is a pay per view site. I'm going to do a little more research.
MyP2P here - will list sites streaming the game live. There will also be a number of other sites such as iraqgoals.net which may well have the game. We will be going down to the ground early though on Saturday. With a crowd which will be virtually double the average crowd of last season it means it will be a hell of a lot busier around the stadium. Plus of course there is the new turnstiles. We now have swipe cards for our season tickets and this is the first game they will be used. In addition this weekend is a Bank Holiday in England and it is traditionally a very busy one in Blackpool with tourists flocking to the seaside. The car park around the stadium is supposedly the largest outdoor car park in Europe. And it is massive - it stretches a long way from south of the stadium toward the Pleasure Beach right down Seasiders Way towards the central area. However, that is going to be heaving not only with cars but also hundreds and hundreds of tourist coaches. So parking is going to be difficult unless we get there early. So, that means I will not be able to check any online streams after about 12.30pm BST. But if I find out about any others tomorrow I will post links.
Fulham, under new manager Mark Hughes drew 2-2 at home with ManUre and then hammered Port Vale in the League Cup. Hughes may be able to give a debut to Mexico international left back Carlos Salcido, who has been playing for PSV Eindhoven. Salcido is set to sign, with left back Paul Konchesky apparently about to follow former manager Roy Hodgson to Liverpool. 19 year old Matt Briggs will be pushing for a place if the Salcido deal falls through. He made his full debut against Port Vale. Hughes said:
Leaving in 10 minutes. Some links that might work for the game - http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/sat28.8/Blackpool_Fulham2.php http://www.atdhe.net/23188/watch-blackpool-vs-fulham And of course the MyP2P link which lists sites. COME ON YOU POOL!
Will be watching today's Seasiders game from the seaside, as my wife and I are on Tybee Island, GA (outside of Savannah). We're on holiday for my 50th birthday tomorrow. I can see MY side of the Atlantic from here. GO 'POOL!
Observations: We're playing well, from what I can see on a bad streaming feed. There appears to have been a foul by Fulham before their goal - should be 0-0 at the half??? I think a tie or a win would be acceptable at this point in the season, I would not be happy with a loss as I think we are playing well and holding our own. Is it just me, or has the home field support been rather quiet today? I can hear the Fulham supporters, but the Tangerine faithful aren't giving their all as they did at the Emirates last week. Step it up, Hoggy! We need some noise.
My observsation from mostly following the game from a gamecast is that Ian must have lit a fire under Charlie Adam's butt. I've seen his name more in the 1st half of this game more than in the previous two combined.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!!!!!! Varney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blackpool 2 Fulham 1
